Occasionally, very few words are necessary to properly convey the beauty and utility of a seasonal release.  Such is the case for the Chantecaille Fall 2014 Collection.  The breathtaking 15 Year Anniversary Palette (available at NordstromBloomingdale’s and Saks) and Hydra Chic Lipstick in Fairy Moss are amongst the lovliest of the latest releases and the following images thoroughly authenticate this assertion!

Chantecaille celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, and to mark the event the brand has created a striking eyeshadow trio inspired by animals from the land, sea and air. Embodying Chantecaille’s commitment to the environment, the limited-edition palette revisits the causes that have remained close to Chantecaille’s heart throughout the years.
Trio includes:
– Elephant: a deep, earthy aubergine that can be applied wet or dry to the crease or lash line.
– Butterfly: a warm buttery vanilla that can be used to smooth and highlight the eyelid or brow bone.
– Sea Turtle: a delicate copper infused with light-reflecting rose-gold pearl.
  • 0.25 oz.
  • By Chantecaille; made in Italy.
  • Proceeds from each 15 Year Anniversary Trio sold will be proudly donated to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Monarch Butterfly Fund and WIDECAST to help protect our endangered elephants, butterflies and sea turtles respectively.

Above: This palette is a must for neutral lovers.
I found these shadows to be utterly gorgeous…smooth, buttery and pigmented, they glide on with ease and stay in place without creasing:
  • The deep brown is neutral with a satin finish for a smoky eye or crease accent.
  • The soft creamy beige has a gossamar touch, perfect for highlighting the brow bone.
  • The warm taupy mink works well over the entire lid and lower lashline…ultra flattering!

Next up is the Chantecaille Hydra Chic Lipstick in Fairy Moss.  This ultra moisturizing formula provides slightly glossy, pigmented coverage in a single swipe.  Fairy Moss is a pinky beige that leans neutral, enabling it to be flattering to a spectrum of skin tones; it also effortlessly pairs well with the 15th Anniversary Palette.  I find it dark enough to keep the complexion from appearing washed out but light enough to create a proper “nude lip.” With a slightly herbal scent and buttery texture, the Hydra Chic Lipstick embodies the sophisticated quality one expects from the Chantecaille line.

Bottom Line: The Chantecaille 15 Year Anniversary Palette (available at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Saks) and Hydra Chic Lipstick in Fairy Moss are lusciously wearable Fall 2014 additions that eminate a subtle, glowing, timeless effect that translates from day to night with ease.  Both may be new for fall, however, the classic look they–in tandem–create is befitting for every season.  I implore you to track them down and add them to your beauty rotation…you won’t regret the indulgence when you find yourself reaching for them time and time again!

Much more soon including more foundation (!), new lip color, my October Favorites video and some style posts…I am also in the midst of responding to your lovely emails and comments on both my most recent video as well as current blog posts.  Thank you for your patience ; )

Thank you for great review! I have this eyeshadow palete and the blush from this collection and Love it very much! How would you compare colorwise ( not finish! ) Fairy Moss lipstick and First Time from TF? Thank you! Would be great to see side by side swatch. Maybe on instagram:)? I am trying to decide beetween those two. Thank you once again!

      Hello Anon,

My pleasure and glad to hear you are loving this palette! It is marvelous. With regards to your question, I find that Fairy Moss is lighter and much more beige (perfect for a true nude look) than the First Time shade, which has a peachy pink depth that sets it apart, both from other TF lipsticks and lip color in general. I don't have a dupe for it amongst all of my nudes and light pinks! I will see what I can do about a side by side swatch soon but I highly suggest getitng your hands on First Time if you can track it down since it is LE.
