Color Closeup: Natasha Denona Eyeshadow + Lip Gloss Swatches Galore

Welcome to the world of Natasha Denona.
Ever since January, my makeup routine has been infiltrated by the high quality, color-saturated, resplendent beauty that is the Natasha Denona line.  From her glowy foundation (comprehensively reviewed HERE) to her insanely pigmented eye shadow (reviewed HERE and HERE), Natasha well-executed collection is a makeup lover’s dream! Since her entire color line will be available at Beautylish on Tuesday (3/9), I am excited to offer a closeup of some of my favorite Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes and lip glosses!
Kindly scroll on for a wealth of swatches and images of the products in action…

My Natasha Denona 5 Palettes.
Although everything I’ve tried in the Natasha Denona line is exemplary, her eyeshadow is next-level gloriousness.  Texturally, the vibrant shades are buttery smooth with little to no fallout.  For most shades (especially the satin finish hues), full opacity is acheived in a single pass and, on my eyes, the formula wears for hours on unprimed lids without the slightest sign of creasing.  To date, I don’t think I have ever tried an eyeshadow with such exemplary color payoff…therefore, believe the hype!
Over the course of one in-person shopping session and one online spree, I picked up the following Natasha Denona 5 Palettes:
  • 5 Palette #02: Originally sold out when I was IMATS LA, I ordered this when it became available at Beautylish last month.  Filled with warm taupe, luminous wine and shimmering neutral mink shades, this comely combination of tones is effortless to wear and will flatter a spectrum on eye colors and skin tones. It reminds me a touch of the ellusive Tom Ford Honeymoon and, much like that quad, I predict it will be out of stock again in no time!
  • 5 Palette #04: Much warmer than 02, this sunset-toned set features dazzling bronze, glistening copper and radiant champagne shades for a statement eye that works just as well in the day as it does at night. Dedicated FOTD with this palette in the works.
  • 5 Palette #12: A royal amalgamation of orchid, grape and bronze tones, I didn’t realize how much I loved this palette, purchased at IMATS LA, until I played with it a few times.  Once applied, the shades become  much less intimidating and the resulting outcome is notably flattering.  Unique and utterly lovely!

Natasha Denona Lip Glaze.
Onto the lip gloss!  I first saw the Natasha Denona Lip Glaze at IMATS LA and promptly picked up three shades in the pinky nude family (shocking, I know).  As discussed in previous posts, this unscented gloss is ultra-creamy, tremendously pigmented and impressively not sticky.  I get 3 or so hours of comfortable, touch up free wear before feeling the need to reapply (typical, in my experience, for a premium gloss) and love how color-saturated the shades are:
  • 03 Rosy Nude is a warm baby pink cream.
  • 04 Antique Nude is a cool, almost lilac baby pink cream (worn alone in the images at the end of this post)
  • 21 Woodwash is a deep nude brown with magnificent opacity; believe it or not, I have nothing like this in my vast lip color collection!

To complement the rich hues of the Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 02 and 12 and Lip Glaze #04, I used these products in the look that follows:
Designed to keep make up looking freshly-applied all day, the ArmaniPrima line is pure innovation.
Complexion perfectors.
Base product swatches in direct sunlight.

A perfect pairing.

Becca glow team.

Have you tried the IT Superhero Mascara yet?  I am beyond impressed with the formula as a way to mimic the look of false lashes!

Bottom Line: I hope you found this swatch-heavy Natasha Denona story helpful and would love to know what’s on your list once the entire color collection becomes available at Beautylish on Tuesday!  Do tell!
Good things ahead including a fresh FOTD, a fresh foundation feature and my take on the Pantone Colors of 2016…

Rachel, it seems that the large Natasha Denona palette is being reviewed on YouTube by beauty insiders so I was happy to see your offerings. Might have to pick up one of the smaller ones you show. Your swatches are always so helpful. Now, how the heck do I decide which one? Thanks for being on the cutting edge, as always!
