Natasha Denona Holiday 2017, the Kevyn Aucoin Neo-Trio and New Lipstick from Pat McGrath

New launches from Natasha Denona
Ever innovative yet completely wearable, I am a massive fan of the Natasha Denona line. Much to my excitement, this month delivered a couple of fresh ND launches including the *Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 Holiday Edition in Joya and Aeris (also available at Sephora) as well as the  *Natasha Denona Chroma Crystal Top Coat (also available at Sephora) in four face-flattering shades.
Today’s post is dedicated to these launches as well as resplendent newness from Kevyn Aucoin, Pat McGrath and Decorte…additionally, keep reading for an upcoming Beauty Professor beauty event!

Kindly scroll for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…
Joya.
The *Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 Holiday Edition in Joya and Aeris (also available at Sephora) are a delightful take on the holiday season; rife with bronzes, peaches, golds and cranberries, the two limited-edition palettes feature intense color payoff in a stunning range of finishes.
Each hue is infinitely beautiful and blendable and even though the shades are undeniably vibrant, they are effortless (and fun!) to wear, making Joya and Aeris apropos for daytime looks and holiday evenings alike.
Joya Shades

  • Discover the next generation of eye shadow with Natasha’s new cream-powder formula, which combines the pigment-rich coverage of a cream and the long-lasting, crease-free wear of a powder
  • Choose from matte, metallic, sparkling, and duo-chrome shades—all effortlessly buildable and blendable—to design your own creative eye looks
  • Super-saturated pigments deliver intense color payoff that stays vibrant from pan to skin. No fading, creasing, or smudging—even without primer
For this eye look, I applied the Peach Gold and and Star Bronze from the Joya palette and then blended Ice Blue from the Aeris palette along my lash line. I added additional luminosity with a touch of the Chroma Crystal Top Coat in Peach.
*The Natasha Denona Chroma Crystal Top Coat

Also new from Natasha Denona are four shades in the *Chroma Crystal Top Coat formula (also available at Sephora), which, fortunately, will become a part of the permanent line. These fascinating    and glimmering hues can be worn alone (of which I am a fan) or over powder shadow to punctuate the intensity.
Texturally, the lightweight cream-meets-powder formula feels cool to the touch and offers a gossamer cloak of color that performs well as an all-over wash of color while being a perfectly powerful companion to traditional powder eyeshadow. The waterproof formula can also be worn on the lips to transform lip color and, because the shimmer is so refined, it works well on a variety of skin types and tones.
My favorite of the four shades is Peach, which I have been wearing multiple times a week…it instantly brightens up the eyes while still translating as relaxed and carefree; combined with the deeper, more opaque Bronze and pale Nude (up to the brow bone) and eyes look pristinely polished. I cannot recommend the  *Natasha Denona Chroma Crystal Top Coat enough!

*Kevyn Aucoin Neo-Trio Palette
The *Kevyn Aucoin Neo-Trio Palette (reviewed individually HERE and also available at Sephora) possesses everything necessary to create a full face; the three mini palettes are magnetized, enabling them to be separated should you wish to just keep one or two in your makeup bag.

Capri is a marvelous melange of pale gold, neutral pink and lush bronze for a custom warmth and flush, the cool lavender radiance of Ibiza is singularly pretty and the Neo-Setting Powder is finely milled to invisible oblivion, running the gamut from matte translucent to incandescent and glowy for an ethereal complexion.
The *Kevyn Aucoin Neo-Trio Palette is a spectacular way to capitalize on both efficacy and portability and provides an excellent foray into the Neo range.

Official details, courtesy of Nordstrom:

What it is: A three-in-one palette featuring everything you need to bronze, highlight and set.

I was intrigued by the new Pat McGrath Lipsticks the second they launched in-store in my local Sephora and, upon swatching, picked out three pinky nude hues in mere moments. I embraced the MatteTrance Lipstick in 1995 (a rich nude beige with magnificent opacity) and LuxeTrance Lipstick in Sextrology and Donatella (a creamy peachy pink and neutral beige, respectively).
The color payoff of these lipsticks is insane…full coverage and a creamy finish are complemented by fantastic hydration and significant lasting power. My favorite of my three selections is Sextrology (odd name, but fabulous color) because it’s an extremely wearable peachy pink that still resides in neutral territory. The velvet matte nature of 1995 is lush and flattering and Donatella is a sublime incarnation of pure beige for a peerless 1960s look.
All in all, I am completely impressed with the Pat McGrath Lipsticks and suspect you will be as well!
