New In: From Suqqu to Surratt Beauty for Holiday 2017

New Holiday 2017 releases from Suqqu.
Two of my favorite brands–Suqqu and Surratt Beauty–have just released new products for Holiday 2017 and I am over the moon to be able to share thoughts and swatches of the products along with some new skincare discoveries and classic beauty favorites that culminate in a final look or two. Streamlined, sophisticate, modern and classic, these brands epitomize innovative and timeless beauty in my book.
Since products from Suqqu and Surratt Beauty tend to sell out quickly, I encourage you to run–not walk–towards your favorite retailer should something catch your eye!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the new Suqqu and Surratt Beauty products in action as well as the Bottom Line…
*Suqqu Designing Color Eyes #110 Kohakuyoi
Up first is the *Suqqu Designing Color Eyes #110 Kohakuyoi (also available at Harrod’s). I must be candid, when I first opened the sleek white and gold compact, I let out an audible gasp as this may be the most perfect embodiment of gold and warm brown that I have encountered to date. Each of the four shades (incandescent medium gold, matte beige, lush warm bronze-meets-brow and aubergine-tinged dark brown) is finely milled with exemplary color payoff and an almost creamy finish. Although all four shades are lovely and work very well together, I would pursue the palette for the warm bronze-meets-brown alone. The pigmentation is INSANE and will flatter a spectrum of skin tones…it’s truly sensational.
For an effortless, everyday look, I applied the warm shimmering brown shade all over my lid and used the golden hue to transition and blended it up towards my brow bone. I added a touch of the matte beige right along my lower brow for contrast and blended a bit of the deep aubergine brown in my crease for additional definition. The shadows blend like a dream and wear–even without primer–in a smooth, long-lasting and crease-free manner.
If you love warm neutrals with a grown up flair as I do, then Suqqu #110 Kohakuyoi is a MUST.

*Suqqu Extra Glow Lipstick for Holiday 2017.
Next, the limited-edition *Suqqu Extra Glow Lipstick in #107 Yoibudou and #108 Amascubi (also available at Harrod’s) feature rich yet wearable hues that seamlessly resonate with the blithe spirt of the holidays! The creamy formula is hydrating and slightly shiny, moving from medium to full coverage in a couple of velvety coats.
#107 is a deep aubergine berry shade that is surprisingly easy to wear due to its buildable and buttery texture…the hue is intense but forgiving enough to be applied straight from the bullet. #108 Amascubi is a “my lips but better” shade that can best be described as a light rosy plum with plenty of neutral undertones.
I envision both shades to be a brilliant way to transition one’s look from day to night with the switch of the lipstick…start with #108 for the AM hours and take your PM look to the next level with #107. Depending on eye makeup, however, doing the reverse #107 in the day with a minimal eye and #108 at night with a smokier version) could be just as apropos!

  • *Clé de Peau Beauté Le Serum (also available at Clé de Peau Beauté): I started using this famed serum a few weeks ago and am impressed by the tender plumping effect (be gone, fine lines!) it gives my skin; it’s lightweight and absorbs quickly, making this anti-aging powerhouse marvelous for use both morning and night. I will weigh back in after a few more weeks of testing but for now, am really pleased with how it’s treating my skin.
  • *Tata Harper Illuminating Moisturizer: For additional glow and hydration, a single pump of this organic and clean formula offers delicious moisture and a delicate glow that makes skin look lit-from-within…it’s a daily indulgence that I look forward to every morning!
  • *SK-II LXP Ultimate Revival Eye Cream: The latest from SK-II, this eye cream boasts the highest concentration of Pitera for an orbital area that is smooth, lifted and hydrated. Additionally, the active ingredients in the formula fight puffiness and dark circles, making it one of the most comprehensive eye creams currently on the market…I’ve been using for the past few days and am already noticing a positive difference in sleep-deprived eye region. Will follow up with final thoughts in a month or so.

  • *Surratt Beauty Artistique Blush in La Rosée du Soir, Chaleur and Barbe A Papa (reviewed HERE): I used the tan Chaleur to gently contour and bronze in the hollows of my cheeks and perimeters of my face, applied the sueded rose La Rosee du Soir on my cheeks and swirled the radiant cotton candy pink Barbe A Papa on the apples of my cheeks for a pop of color. All three make for a perfectly proportioned custom palette and I reach for this triad often.
  • *Surratt Beauty Artistique Cheek Brush: My go-to for applying all cheek products, this ultra-soft brush is simply the best in my experience!
  • *Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Gradient Glow: The latest from Becca, this resplendent powder features five finely milled, best-selling shades of Shimmering Skin Perfector formula, cleverly combined in a gradient schema. I swirled all five together and applied to the high points of my face (e.g., upper cheek bones, upper forehead, bridge of the nose and Cupid’s bow). Comprehensive, swatch-heavy review forthcoming!
  • *Gucci Smoky Impact Eyeliner in Sunstone (reviewed HERE): A clear opposite from my traditional black liner, I applied this along my lower waterline to brighten up the eye region in a fresh fashion. The soft nude beige hue promises radiance without an overly stark contrast…so good.
  • *Miriam Quedado Ultrabrilliant Sublime Gold Lotion Spray (reviewed HERE): The seasonal change in weather has taken a toll on my hair, making it drier and more tangly than normal and this spray–applied liberally after a shower–helps to detangle my hair, providing it with much-needed moisture and a plethora of shine. Oh, and it smells luxuriously incredible. I never want to be without this formula!

Divine new shades of *Surratt Beauty Lip Lustre Lumieres Collection
Four new shades of *Surratt Beauty Lip Lustre (also available at Bluemercury) have arrived, wooing sparkly pastel lovers with extra-reflective, translucent shades that transform lips with a delicate glaze of sheer color.
Sublimely moisturizing, exceptionally plush and comfortably non-sticky, the Lumieres Collection features a quartet of glimmering glosses that add a stunning luster to bare lips; additionally, existing lip color experiences a metamorphosis when one of the Lumieres is placed atop. Despite being endowed with light reflecting particles, the gloss is extremely smooth; that is, there is not discernible glitter feeling as is the case with many incandescent formulas. Due to its versatility and universally flattering hues, this gloss is equally perfect for a casual no-makeup makeup day or holiday night out alike!
Although all four shades are beautiful, my favorite is the cool-toned Je Ne Sais Quoi…it may look blue in the tube but translates to a lush violet pink on the lips. Magnifique
Shade Descriptions:
  • Faux Pas: Glinty mint
  • Je Ne Sais Quoi: Blingy blue/soft pink shift
  • Oh La La: Twinkling Pink
  • Voila: Opulent opal

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this overview of the gorgeous holiday releases from Suqqu and Surratt Beauty! As aforementioned, both brands frequently sell out quickly so I would recommend shopping early for best shade options.
Good things ahead, including new lip color formulas and shades from Dior (Pure Topaz!) and Tom Ford (Paper Doll!), a recap of my time in London with Burberry Beauty and a host of other new product procurements for Fall and Holiday 2017…simply cannot wait to share!
Sending love, encouragement and appreciation to you, dear readers…xx,

Gorgeous! I absolutely love your posts, swatches and several pictures of each look. I'm so excited for the new SUQQU launch. I've tried the Amasoubi lipstick and it pulls much cooler on my skin, I wish it was as dusty rose as on your skin. I think I will need Surratt's Faux Pas gloss as well!
