September 2014 Favorites Video

Above: September favorites in the skincare and makeup realm…do you spy a personal favorite?
Hello, dear readers…happy almost October!  Here is a video overview of my favorite beauty and skincare for the month of September…where does the time go?
Kindly scroll on for the video, the full list of my favorites (with links to their respective reviews on my blog), a closeup of the lip color selections (with swatches!) and the Bottom Line…

Products (with links to their respective reviews etc.) Discussed:
(8) Byredo Gypsy Water…review HERE
Above: Since my video camera didn’t seem to pick up the special nuances of the lip color (to say nothing of the fact that most are “peachy-pink-nudes,”), I decided to offer a closeup.  From L-R: Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Bare Baby, Kevyn Aucoin Expert Lip Color in Sireedan, Gerard Cosmetics lip gloss in Buttercream, Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in B*tch Perfect, Lipstick Queen Silver Screen Lipstick in You KidNapoleon Perdis Pro Lips in Blanc and NARS Audacious Lipstick in Raquel.
Above: Swatches of my September lip color choices in natural lighting (by a window) for maximum shade accuracy!

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this video and welcome your questions and comments!  So many good things ahead include full shade spectrum swatches for TWO new foundations, my official review of the Jouer Long-Wear Creme Mousse Eyeshadow, some lip color discoveries…oh, and my Gucci order should be arriving any day!  Cannot. Wait.

Rachel, I absolutely love love love this video!! I could listen to you critique beauty products for hours!
First of all, yours is pretty much my go to opinion for all things beauty. Your aesthetic is just a spot on version of what makeup should be and do. I am drawn to the same beautiful shades for the eye, cheek, and lip.
I really enjoy your intelligent well spoken reviews. So many of us are sophisticated, smart women, yet our language is sadly too peppered with likes and such.
Lastly, after this video you have earned even more respect from me by refusing to take part in any ugly words that demean women. Bravo. And thank you. We need more women to kick this out of their vocabs.
Of course, you look great!!! You are growing more beautiful every post.

      Hello dear Amanda,

Thank you so very much…very encouraging words to read!! The fact that you understand my reasons for not saying the CT lipstick name is heartwarming. Thanks for all you shared…I wholeheartedly agree that we, as women, have a responsibilitiy to shape the world's view of us!

Much appreciation for the kind compliment…xoxo, talk soon and have a lovely weekend,

I love the SK-II Facial Treatment Esssence! It's my skin care holly grail! Now I'm been using it about a year and the skin improvement is so clear! Skin is less reactive and much less sensitive now!

The Lancer polish is amazing. It's worth the high price tag. I've never used anything like it before. You are making me very curious about the Kevyn Aucoin lipsticks.

I am ashamed of how far behind I am on reading your fabulous posts!! Moving has caused a loss of both free time and internet usage, but I'm hoping to get caught up this weekend. Just wanted to stop by quickly and say that I loved this video!! So many great products to add to my wishlist. 🙂 I am intrigued by the SK-II line, especially after hearing your wonderful results. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! xoxo.
