The *Suqqu Global Summer 2018 Nude With Spice Collection
What a week! I am currently entering my final grades for the spring semester while packing for my red-eye to NYC (more on that HERE) but I couldn’t let another moment pass without sharing a couple spectacular new launches from Suqqu and BY TERRY.  The dreamy and ever-so-wearable *Suqqu Global Summer 2018 Nude With Spice Collection (also to be available at Harrods) launches on May 24th and I have swatches of everything; additionally, I’ve just begun to test the *BY TERRY Cellularose Detoxilyn Collection and will offer initial impressions later in the post. Finally, I can’t wait to show you my favorite skirt as of late…relaxed with a dash of lace flourish, it will be on heavy rotation all summer long.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the launches in action as well as the Bottom Line…

Rife with an usually executed range of warm neutrals, the *Suqqu Global Summer 2018 Nude With Spice Collection (also to be available at Harrods) is packaged in breathtakingly beautiful brown and gold packaging that resonates with the sultry summer months.

Suqqu Designing Color Eyes

The core of the collection, of course, involves the *Suqqu Designing Color Eyes in #118 Akenatsu and #119 Himawari (also available at Harrods). Radiating with the simmering vibes of summer, both palettes embrace gilded yet surprisingly neutral tones that brighten the face without overpowering.
  • #118 Akenatsu: Contains a diamond white veil, a lush rose with a satin finish, a bold papaya with a demi-matte finish and a radiant deep neutral rosy brown.
  • #119 Himawari: Contains a diamond white veil with a touch of gold, a pale bronze shimmer, a cheerful yellow cream and a velvety true brown.
Both are exquisite but for this rosy neutral devotee, #118 Akenatsu has a slight edge. The shadows are creamy with fantastic color payoff and the crease-free performance we’ve come to expect from Suqqu…so sublime!

Flawless Lip Glosses red #104 Toubi and spicy beige #105 Mizusuna--and three nail lacquers from Suqqu Global Summer 2018
For lips and tips.

Lip Products

For lips and tips, the collection boasts two *Flawless Lip Glosses–in the lively orange-red #104 Toubi and spicy beige #105 Mizusuna–and three nail lacquers in massively shiny versions of red, spice and white (also available at Harrods).
The glosses are semi-sheer with juice color payoff and plenty of reflection and the nail lacquers will suit a spectrum of skin tones (I, for one, cannot wait to try all three with a bit of a tan, however).

Beauty Professor Blogger Rachel Anise Wegter sharing Suqqu Global Summer 2018: Juicy Bright Cream Blush as well as the *Nude Illuminating Highlight Stick

Blush

For the complexion, the collection features two shades of the new *Juicy Bright Cream Blush as well as the *Nude Illuminating Highlight Stick (reviewed/demonstrated HERE and also available at Harrods).
The *Juicy Bright Cream Blush comes in two gorgeous shades–the peachy #101 Sangozome and the caramel nude #102 Tsuyakogare. Packed with pigment and offset by a creamy shine, the blush is buildable and infinitely pretty.
Infinitely portable in twist up packaging, the *Nude Illuminating Highlight Stick creates a tender sheen that makes skin look lit-from-within rather than shimmery. Nearly transparent with just the slightest touch of champagne beige, this gorgeous glow works on all skin tones, guaranteeing it a makeup bag must.

// THE REST OF MY FACE //

*BY TERRY UV BASE UV Base Sunscreen Cream SPF 50 (reviewed HERE)

I applied a pea-sized amount of this soothing and protective primer to prepare my skin for the make to come.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter #4 (reviewed HERE)

Ever my second step, this illuminator adds a plump and dewy dimension that cannot be beat.

Dior Airflash Foundation in 321 Amber Beige

When I noticed that the iconic Airflash recently expanded its shade range, I was intrigued as I’ve been between two shades for ages. I am happy to report that #321 Amber Beige is (finally!) the perfect match for my light-medium olive-toned skin. The weightless texture and long lasting, real skin finish are as delightful as I remembered and I recommend a revisit to this singularly brilliant formula.

*Sisley-Paris Concealer #2 (reviewed HERE)

This apricot-hued concealer (packed with skincare benefits) brightens the darkest under eye regions without caking or creasing. It must be tried to be believed.

*Sappho Bronze Goddess Bronzer (reviewed HERE)

Gently applied with the *Surratt Beauty Artistique Highlight Brush, this bronzer sculpts while imparting a very believable and natural warmth. It’s one of my favorite formulas to date.

*Sappho Blush in Luv the Cheeks

I added the slightest bit of this true flush blush to the apples of my cheek for a bit of depth.

*Ellis Faas Glow Up in Satin Glow (reviewed HERE)

Just a touch along the high points of my face for additional illumination.

*Suqqu Liquid Eyebrow Pen #2

I swept this cult-favorite brow product–which features a fine tipped pen and indelible formula–through my brows for definition. The four shades (swatched below) have flattering neutral undertones that complement a spectrum of hair colors.

*BY TERRY Lash-Expert Twist Brush Mascara (also available at Beautylish and Selfridges and reviewed HERE)

Two coats for the darkest and fluffiest lashes possible.

The *BY TERRY Cellularose Detoxilyn Collection.
Finally, I am excited to introduce the latest skincare collection from *BY TERRY (also available at BloomingdalesRevolve and Selfridges). Designed to care for skin subjected to pollution-heavy cityscapes, the Cellularose Detoxilyn range brightens, lifts, nourishes and protects:

*BY TERRY Cellularose Detoxilyn City Essence (also available at Bloomingdales and Revolve)

This light essence balances skin, adding radiance and an initial dose of moisture that prepares the face for the skincare to come.

*BY TERRY Cellularose Detoxilyn City Mask (also available at Bloomingdales and Revolve)

I am smitten with this bubbling formula (and will be bringing it with me to NYC) as it deep cleanses the skin with the power of oxygen. Be forewarned, the effervescent effect is rather addictive.

*BY TERRY Cellularose Detoxilyn City Serum (also available at Bloomingdales and Revolve)

Purify, balance and revitalize with this lightweight gel-meets-liquid…it’s protection and prevention in a single pump.

*BY TERRY Cellularose Detoxilyn City Cream (also available at Bloomingdales and Revolve)

For additional hydration and fortification, this lush cream moisturizes while absorbing quickly…from probiotics to free-radical fighting properties, this cream is a city girl’s new best friend.

Style notes.
// STYLE NOTES //
  • Fox Tee by Maison Kitsune: I love this men’s tee. It has the classic cut and heather gray cotton allow it to work with anything. The little embroidered fox is brand recognition on a super subtle level.
  • Lace Trim Skirt by Ragdoll LA: This skirt is casual perfection; with a drawstring waist and pockets. It can be dressed up (with sandals) or dressed down (with tennis shoes) making it a versatile MVP in one’s wardrobe.
  • Gold hoop earrings: Simple and timeless, I’ve been wearing these on the daily.
  • *Oribe Nail Lacquer in The Nude (reviewed HERE): I always make sure to take this shade with me to my pedicures (which, realistically, happen no more than three times a year) and love the clean opacity and long lasting effect.
