Weekend Wonderment: Tom Ford Honeymoon (and Some Potential Dupes) + Swatches of ALL Shades of the Armani Maestro Glow

Happy weekend to you, lovelies!  What do you have planned for this Valentine’s Day? If all goes as planned for me, I’ll be indulging in a rare day home with my husband and pup, enjoying a mellow afternoon together. When it comes to special occasions, I tend to be a girl of simple taste ; )
Today’s post is dedicated to an easy-to-achieve look culminating from a few products I’ve been reaching for constantly as of late, including the elusive Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quad in Honeymoon and the Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow Foundation (with swatches of EVERY shade, to boot).  I’ve even extended some suggestions for eye shadow colors similar to TF Honeymoon for those who may not have had the chance to pick up this “blink and you’ll miss it” shade option!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…
I’d like to say that the inordinately warm weather we’ve been having in Southern California has caused me to gravitate towards lush neutrals and bronzy tones, complimented by slightly shiny nude lip…but let’s face it, I tend to gravitate toward this look year round!
For the look that follows, I used:

Tom Ford Honeymoon.
As to be expected, the Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quad in Honeymoon is all sorts of gorgeous…consequently, once released, this particular palette sold out in a flash, both online, and in-store.  A couple of weeks ago, I was fortunate to have stumbled upon the last one at my local TF counter and promptly snapped it up.  Initially, I was told that Honeymoon was limited-edition but have since heard that it will be permanent, with the quad becoming available again in the summer.  Those who are waiting for its restock can likely relate to the wait they may have experienced for the neutral-lover’s dream, Nude Dip (which is now available again)!
Silky and pigmented, Honeymoon contains:
  • A light, warm, shimmering taupe
  • A glowing bronze
  • A rich, incandescent wine (the hero shade, in my opinion)
  • A deep, glowing aubergine

If you, like so many, missed out on the first installment of Honeymoon, some other eye shadow options that offer the rich, shimmering warmth of this currently sold out wonder include:

Currently, the Maestro Glow Foundation comes in 9 shades.
Last month, I shared a comprehensive review of the new Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow Foundation (HERE).  Since then, many of you have requested swatches of this beautifully revolutionary formula (also discussed HERE) and I am happy to oblige!  Maestro Glow comes in nine shades:
  • 0: Sheer white for the refinement of the palest of complexions.
  • 2: Pale beige with yellow undertones for fair to light skin.
  • 4: Light beige with yellow undertones for light, warm skin.
  • 5: Light beige with neutral undertones for light neu: tral to rosy skin.
  • 5.5: Light-medium beige with neutral undertones for light-medium skin.  **My current match
  • 6.25: Medium golden beige for medium skin with neutral to warm undertones.
  • 7: Deep neutral tan for cafe a lait-toned skin.
  • 8: Rich hazelnut brown medium-deep skin.
  • 11.75: Deepest chestnut brown for chocolate skin tones.

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this beauty story; I was thrilled to be able to offer the full shade spectrum of swatches for the glorious Maestro Glow Foundation and hope that my Tom Ford Honeymoon alternative suggestions were helpful ; )

Good things ahead, including my cleansing routine and a host of new product procurements.  I am also in the midst of responding to your latest batch of lovely emails and comments, both on BP and on my YouTube channel!

Also, as previously mentioned…SAVE the DATE //  I am excited to announce that I will be hosting the Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills Project Beauty on Saturday, February 27th!  The free event, which features a cavalcade of new spring beauty as well as sips and snacks and an array of beauty and skincare brand experts, will begin at 11 AM! If you are a Southern CA local (or will happen to be in the area at the time), please plan on attending…it would be wonderful to meet you in person.

Have a beautiful weekend!

Love the foundation swatches of all the colours as always!! Honeymoon andf Disco Dust are stunning, but I've heard they're permanent, so they'll be back right?

      Hi Bella!

I am so glad you found the swatches helpful. Yes, I received confirmation last weekend that all of the new TF quad shades (including Honeymoon) are permanent and will continue to get restocked as they sell out (though it could be quite awhile for Honeymoon!).

Wonderful post. Thank you for doing all of the swatches, so very helpful. I guess I should consider myself fortunate for procuring the Tom Ford quad in Honey Moon as soon as I spotted it. It is truly a favorite. Hope you have a spectacular Valentine's Day.

My absolute pleasure, Eesha…I suggest to keep checking back on the TF site for Honeymoon…I heard it was briefly restocked last week (now sold out again) but at least new units are becoming available in spurts!

Hello and huge thank you for such a great blog. Sorry for posting out of the topic question; I kept trying to post my question on TerryCover Expert blog, but without success. And still… what would be Terry's Cover Expert's match in GA luminous silk 5.25. My skin has a rosy undertone and is prone to redness, I would like to look it paler. I usually have 2 matches in other foundations and both suit my skin tone, but one would make it cooler and another warmer. Thank you very much

      Hi Liza!

Thank you so much for the supportive words! With regards to your question, I would suggest #4 (if you want your skin to look lighter…this is a rosy to neutral light beige) or #7 (if you want to counteract rosy tones as this shade is more yellow but still light).

      I hope that helps…XO,
