Youngblood Spring 2013 Collection Launch…Details and Swatches!

Above: Pre-Youngblood event…ready to embrace spring full force ahead, despite the gloomy Southern California skies.
On Thursday, January 24th, I was privileged to attend the Youngblood Spring 2013 Collection launch at the gorgeous Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills.  This lovely event featured makeup demonstrations, sumptuous food and a plethora of Youngblood cosmetics, all brought together in the warm candlelit glow of the Montage!

After a welcome and introduction from Pauline Youngblood, makeup demonstrations featuring shades from the Spring 2013 collection allowed attendees to envision the stunning effects of the premier pieces: Lagoon, a vibrant teal liner and Debalicious, a light pink cream lipstick.  The entire evening was a graceful experience in makeup application, warm camaraderie with Youngblood lovers and a bevy of beautiful cosmetics!
Kindly scroll on for images, product swatches and pictures of the spring collection on my face ; )

Above: I could not help but to include an image of this puppy that we ran into that evening…he was just so fancifully adorable.

Above and below: The Youngblood Spring 2013 Collection features Debalicious, a beautiful bubblegum pink creme lip color ($19), Minerals in the Mist: Relax ($22), Anti-Shine Mattifier Oil Control Solution ($36) and Incredible Wear Gel Liner in Lagoon, a bright teal with a lovely sheen ($21).

Above: I love how subtle Lagoon is when my eyes are open.
Above: I cannot get over how much I like Lagoon…I am usually not one for bright eye makeup, but this simple line brings so much life to the face.
Above: Debalicious is fast becoming a favorite!
Above: The overall effect of the Youngblood Spring 2013 Collection is fresh, fun and downright beautiful…the playfulness of color is synonymous with springtime in my book!

Bottom Line:  The Youngblood Spring Collection is simply marvelous…I am loving the springtime energy that these shades impart and Debalicious hasn’t left my purse since I’ve received it.  I am impressed with the quality and versatility of all four products and plan on doing in-depth reviews of the Anti-Shine Mattifier (I also happened to pick one up at IMATS the week prior) and Minerals in the Mist very soon, so kindly keep your eyes peeled if you are interested in learning more.  The collection is slated for release in March, just in time for the burgeoning warmth of the season!

You look so beautiful! I like the teal on you, that's my fave trick when I'm not as creative with my eye makeup. Line my lash line with teal or purple!
