Color Therapy: Five Vibrant Lip Colors to Try + New Charlotte, Westman & Chanel

// SKINCARE //

The start of a new semester has been hectic as expected (teaching 7 classes is serious business) and, to offset the relative chaos, my skincare routine has been minimalist in the best possible way. In the daytime, I often apply a pump of the Clé de Peau Beauté Le Serum, which hydrates and balances, expertly preparing my skin for foundation. At night, I’ve been reaching for the Omorovicza Even Tone, which features a potent blend of microalgea, niacinamide and gentle acids to unify skin tone while adding a glow. It makes my skin feel baby soft upon waking and I am already noticing an improvement in evenness and overall radiance. For lips, the U Beauty The Plasma Lip Compound is divine! Plush and moisturizing, this innovative formula contains peptides, ceramics and hyaluronic acid to deliver volume and shine while diminishing vertical fine lines…this formula is truly special.

// FOUNDATION //

I am beyond thrilled to put two new foundations on your radar; I have been testing them regularly and love them equally but for different reasons. For full coverage in a single pump, the RMS Re-Evolve Natural Finish Liquid Foundation is, in a word, incredible. The formula is creamy and smoothing and leaves my complexion looking like porcelain; best of all, it’s shockingly long lasting (especially for a clean foundation) and feels like nothing on the skin. My perfect match is 55!

For moments when lighter coverage is desired, the Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Complexion Drops (my match is IX) are wholly recommend. This liquid formulation is lightweight and packed with skincare benefits; it glides on and instantly evens the complexion while still letting the luster of real skin shine through with a fresh and dewy finish.

To finish the complexion, the new Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Concealer is sublime. Replete with skincare ingredients and formidable, light-reflecting pigmentation, the smallest touch of this concealer (my match is 8) in my orbital region instantly brightens without creasing. I then use a fluffy brush to lightly sweep the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Powder in Tan all over to blur pores and fine lines…it’s a veritable filter for the skin.

I adore a good cream formula as it looks so natural on skin of all ages and these new sticks from Jane Iredale are gorgeous and clean! The *Jane Iredale Glow Time Bronzer Stick in Scorch contours and sculpts while adding an illuminating wash of warmth. For cheeks, the *Jane Iredale Glow Time Blush Stick in Fervor is a quintessential flush of pinky peach and to highlight, there is nothing more effortless than the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand on the highpoint of the face.

I have run through at least 3 of the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand. It’s truly exceptional for a lit-from-within look while flattering a spectrum of skin tones.

Here, I used the Trish McEvoy Lipliner Barely Nude as a base for every lipstick that follows in this story…this is one of my most reached for formulas. The shade is a perfect neutral and the creamy lasting power is exceptional.

For eyes, I have been reaching for the Chanel Les Ombres Tweed Eyeshadow Palette Tweed Cuivre 01 nonstop as of late. This gorgeous quad features warm bronzy tones and incandescent gold hues for the easiest gilded eye. The formula is buttery and blendable while resisting creasing and I love that all four shades have a satin finish (my preference!) for endless luminosity. So glad I bought this!

// STYLE NOTES //

This Farm Rio Dress (worn in a small and currently on sale) possesses such a chic and lively energy. It’s structured yet relaxed and pairs so well with an oversized jean jacket (a perennial must), gold square hoop earrings and minimalist black sandals for a reimagined homage to the 1960s.

    Yes that dress is absolutely lovely on you and the curation with the YSL in Pink Celebration-so chic indeed! Each of the shades does indeed offer a gorgeous, nuanced color story that does brighten the face beautifully! Thank you SO much for sharing your take on the Chanel Les Ombres TWEED palettes Tweed Cuivre-the gilded tones with the satin finish look sumptuous and pairs brilliantly with a brighter lip <3 This post was so a propos as I'm going to be joining my fellow Mom Link Community/Club members for an incredible Summit in Delray Beach, FL where there are going to be amazing speakers, we'll be able to meet in person and also attend the VIP PINK PARTY at the home of Gina Skelton, my dearest friend of over 20 years whose post I tagged you in!) who is one of the Co-Founders. She and her 2 other beautiful, wonderful co founders have created this amazing, supportive community( for all women-even if you are not a mom or mompreneur (it's so richly diverse as far as industries, backgrounds… but they are truly wonderful and it's so fantastic to be part of a community of like minded and hearted women! Can't wait to share more xo ) So the curation of lip colors here is so perfect as I'm curating my makeup(foundation too-I do want to opt for coverage that's buildable and allows me to create lasting medium to full, yet still imparting a finish that looks like skin ) choices to pursue for the trip-the Rms, Westman and CT picks along with checking out the lovely Jane Iredale for the cream cheek formula(I still have this sublime dual cream cheek/highlight stick from a past Tom Ford Soleil Collection, and the TF advisor at NM agrees that it's fabulous! lol) so I've been looking for another as I do find a lovely creme formula to be very flattering. The former is mostly in my Mom's makeup bag now as it looks so good on her. I'm going to have her try the new CT concealer. Thanks luv! xo
