Introducing the new SUQQU The Liquid Foundation.

The hotly anticipated *SUQQU The Liquid Foundation just launched this week and am beyond thrilled to bring you swatches of every single shade in the line up along with a full beauty look and specifics for a special Beauty Professor x Skin Inc. Meet & Greet at Nordstrom South Coast Plaza (mark your calendars for 3/11 from 4-6!).

The *SUQQU The Liquid Foundation

First, I want to thank the SUQQU team for providing me with a full range of tester sized bottles (not currently for sale) so I could create swatches of all 23 shades available in different lighting situations. This process takes me back to my Beauty Professor roots; I’ve always been motivated to be as inclusive as possible when it comes to creating foundation swatches and it’s such a joy to work with brands that understand my vision. May the following images serve as an invaluable resource as you find your perfect match in this exemplary formula!

The *SUQQU The Liquid Foundation (also available at Cult Beauty) is truly exceptional. A single pump is more than enough for velvety medium to full coverage with an extraordinarily natural finish that resists creasing and stays in place for hours (check out my quick application video HERE). The formula is creamy yet lightweight and it feels like nothing on the skin.

The skincare-inspired ingredients include 13 different Japanese botanicals.

It also has hydrolyzed collagen and hyaluronic acid that encourage hydration, balance, brightness and skin smoothness and the foundation is fragrance-free.

I have been testing it for the last week and have put it through some very long (and warm) days; I am happy to report that it performs masterfully, staying fresh and luminous while requiring zero touch ups. The innovative fluid pigment technology ensures that the color applies and wears evenly, adhering to skin without separation or a powdery finish…it’s your best skin in a bottle and may be my favorite SUQQU foundation yet!

In terms of the shade families in the range, shades beginning with “0” are for skin with yellow beige undertones. The shades beginning with “1” are for skin with neutral beige undertones and shades beginning with “2” are for skin with pink/rosy undertones. My best match is 035 (worn in the images throughout this post). I will bump up to the slightly deeper 040 by the middle of summer.

// THE COMPLETE LOOK //

For the look that follows, I prepped my skin with the new *Skin Inc. Tri-Light + SABI AI LED DEVICE. This genius invention is a Nordstrom exclusive, eight-in-one LED light therapy device that also serves as a virtual skin coach (via a coordinating app). Five targeted LED lights work to stimulate overall skin quality while sonic technology helps to promote collagen tissue, reduce wrinkles and fine lines, lift the skin and add a glow.

The PEMF component uses low-level electromagnetic waves to promote healthy skin function (including reducing inflammation, controlling rosacea and healing acne) and the hydra-sensor technology can instantly tell you how hydrated your skin is. Seriously.

MY EVENT:

I’ll be demonstrating this device at my Skin Inc. Meet & Greet next Friday 3/11 from 4-6PM at Nordstrom South Coast Plaza and hope you are able to swing by to say hello and try it out for yourself. RSVP (it’s free) HERE…that way, I can keep an eye out for you!

After a session with the *Skin Inc. Tri-Light + SABI AI LED DEVICE, I followed with the freshly launched *Augustinus Bader The Ultimate Soothing Cream, which is the richest of the cream offerings in the Augustinus Bader range. It’s excellent for dry skin, inflamed and irritated skin and even skin that is eczema prone. Thanks to its proprietary TFC8 as well as Black Cumin Oil and Totarol, skin is left feeling nourished and balanced.

Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge #3

For my base, I applied a dime-sized amount of my trusty Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge #3 (use BP20 for 20% off…reviewed HERE), which always leaves my skin looking even, refined and a touch glowy and then buffed on a pump of the *SUQQU The Liquid Foundation 035 with a beauty sponge. The coverage is so flawless. I find that a pump is more than enough for a full coverage (yet 100% natural looking) result.

Simply divine! I followed with a touch of the *Clé de Peau Beauté The Concealer in Buff (reviewed HERE) in my under eye region and warmed up and sculpted my complexion with the opulent *Sisley Phyto Touche Bronzer (reviewed HERE), focusing on the hollows of my cheeks and perimeters of the face. I blended the peachy side of the *Wayne Gloss Luxury Blush Duo in Desert Blossom on the apples of my cheeks and used the incandescent highlighter (SO pretty) on the high points of my face for a filtered, ethereal glow.

For eyes, I quickly swept the *Iconic London Glaze Eye Crayon in Nectar (reviewed HERE) on my upper lid (this is one of my favorites for a glowing peach eye in mere seconds) and the swept on the Jane Iredale Beyond Lash Volumizing Mascara for long and fluttery fringe. I used a touch of my Au Naturale x BP Lip and Eye Pencil in Clover (reviewed HERE) on my lower lash line (so lovely to make eyes of any color “pop”) and then used it to line my lips, following with a mix of my Au Naturale x BP Lip Stain in LA (reviewed HERE), Au Naturale x BP Lip Stain in Anise (reviewed HERE) and the Sisley-Paris Phyto Lip Twist in Baby (reviewed HERE) on top for some shine. I will forever layer lip color…how about you?

// STYLE NOTES //

For this clean and classic look, I paired a low back black bodysuit with some of my favorite straight leg jeans by MOUSSY. A pair of luxe dad sandals and a 18k gold choker instantly elevates these basics.

Bottom Line: I hope you found this swatch heavy review of the glorious new *SUQQU The Liquid Foundation immensely helpful (it’s WELL worth the pursuit) and please don’t hesitate to reach out (truly) if I can assist in finding your best match.

As a reminder, I will be at Nordstrom South Coast Plaza on Friday 3/11/22 from 4-6PM  for a Meet & Greet at the Skin Inc. counter to celebrate the launch of the new Tri-Light SABI and would absolutely LOVE to see you there. Please make sure to RSVP (it’s completely free) HERE so I can keep an eye out for you!

Good things ahead, including a new video tutorial, some spring style. Also, a host of new product procurements for the season…cannot wait to share.

Stay strong, seek wisdom, sending love and more soon,

xx

    I’m very interested in that led device. I have a mask but it’s impossible to travel with so I would love to have this as well. Do you use it around your eyes as well? Also that Suqqu foundation looks amazing! I wish I could come to your Nordstrom meet & greet, it would be so fun.
    Well done Joey Elle!
    Take care & have a good weekend! ~ Charli
