At this point in the month, I am fully focused on fall. After what seemed like a lightening fast summer, I am headed back to campus tomorrow and will be teaching 7 college classes in addition to beauty writing and job #1, my daughter Joey Elle. To commemorate this transition, I am excited to share some luxurious new Nordstrom beauty pursuits from Chanel, La Prairie, Clé de Peau and Laura Mercier and more that will take you into the next season refreshed, polished and ready to face the fall.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of everything in action as well as the Bottom Line…
// SKINCARE //
In terms of skincare, I’ve been regularly indulging in the rapid results of the *Sisley Exfoliating Enzyme Mask; simply put a little of the powder into your hand, mix with water and apply to the face. After a minute, rinse with warm water and you will be taken aback by the instant smoothing and refining that occurs. Harnessing the power of enzymes, this gentle formulation exfoliates without irritation, leaving you with baby skin…one try and you’ll understand why it’s been flying off the shelves since its launch earlier this month.
I’ve also been revisiting the *Lancer The Method Set, which is currently on sale ($150 for a $270 value) thanks to its streamlined yet effective protocol. Begin with the iconic Polish (I’ve run through multiple tubes of this powerhouse for years) to buff away dry skin and dirt and follow with the Cleanse, which is a bouncy and plush formula that leaves skin exceptionally clean. Finish with the Nourish cream, which instantly absorbs, hydrating skin on contact and expertly preparing it for any makeup to come.
We’re forever Augustinus Bader fans in this household and my husband especially has been enjoying the *Augustinus Bader Light Cream, which features the same TFC8 technology as all Bader products, this time suspended in a super lightweight cream that plays well with oily skin and warm and humid environments.
For an evening ritual of epic proportions, may I suggest the *La Prairie Radiance Nocturnal Balm. Housed in a luxurious reusable vessel that also contains a stone massage tool, this innovative, nutrient rich formula delivers the potency of pure gold to tired and depleted skin for a glowing visage upon waking.
// THE FACE //
To create a balanced and even canvas, I’ve been regularly embracing the genius Chanel Water Fresh Tint Foundation in B50, which contains suspended pigment particles that, when dispersed, provide a wash of color that somehow looks like fresh, balanced skin rather than foundation. It resists creasing and transferring and, consequently, wears beautifully for hours on end. I much prefer it to the original launch (in the square bottle) as the coverage is essentially medium and I need less than two pumps to refine my entire face.
For the look in this story, I followed with a touch of my trusty *Clé de Peau The Concealer in Buff (currently on sale, I might add) in my orbital region and swept the *Chantecaille Real Bronze Gel Powder Bronzer in Sirena along the hollows of my cheeks and perimeters of my face. I love how much dimension this particular formula gives the skin; it’s a true tan with a touch of radiance. For cheeks, the *Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Beauty Light Wand Blush in Medium is a must. This luminous rose gold hue looks incredible on the apples of the cheeks and on the brow bone…when it comes to her light wands, Charlotte can truly do no wrong!
For eyes, I deeply appreciate the ease of the *Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eye Shadow Pencil Set; this duo features a rich burgundy cream shadow (I used it on my lower water line and along my upper lash line) and a luminous peachy pink shadow (applied everywhere else on my eye lid) for eyes that are illuminated and defined. The shadows–which look good on all eye colors–blend easily and, once set, do not budge. I completed the look with the new *Lancôme Hypnose 8 Mascara, which, thanks to a serum formulation, nourishes and conditions lashes while making them jet black and volumized.
Replete with an expanded shade range and updated packaging, the *Clé de Peau Beauté The Luminzing Face Enhancer is better than ever. From the multifaceted compacts (veritable gems) to the mosaic designs within, these finely milled powders feature an array of complementary shades that synergistically work together to create a complexion that looks lit from within. They are so gossamer and natural on the skin, in fact, that photographing swatches that capture their dimension (I went heavier so the undertones were clear) is challenging!
I love that there are some deeper, warmer offerings in the lineup and have found myself reaching for the peachy apricot #203 and golden tan #22 (worn throughout this post) most frequently this summer. They truly give skin an ethereal quality that is peerless in the world of highlighters.
I have been playing with the *Laura Mercier Petal Soft Lipstick Crayons for the past couple of weeks and can confirm that they are different (in the best possible way) than any other lip color I’ve encountered thus far. Housed in minimalist, retractable packaging, this effortless lip formula is creamy and buildable with a soft velvet finish that makes lips look youthful, full and lush and the crayon tip creates a foolproof application experience.
I am wearing the bold pink Louise in the images throughout this story and am also quite partial to Amelie, Elodie, Ella, Augustine and Camille.
As an opulent finishing touch, the *La Perla Invisible Touch EDP is divine. Transcending the stunning bottle is the juice itself; notes of aldehyde, ylang-ylang and sorbettolide harmonize for an intoxicating skin scent that is unique and sophisticated.

// STYLE NOTES //
To build this timeless day-to-night look, I started with the AGOLDE Lana Jeans (wearing a 27), which have a higher rise and clean, straight leg (they also come in black and white) and paired them with a black tube top, which is modern and edgy without being over the top. To finish the ensemble, I reached for my buttery soft *All Saints Leather Jacket (runs a touch small, so I suggest sizing up 1-2 sizes…I’m wearing an 8). This is the type of outerwear that instantly elevates an outfit…I’ll wear this jacket for life! For a pop of metallic color, the Schutz Olly sandals are divine. The block heel is comfortable for hours and the radiant gilded hue is essentially a very special neutral so it goes with everything.

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this look at some luxurious Nordstrom beauty pursuits for fall and would love to know what caught your eye…do tell!
Good things ahead, including a fresh video focused on my most used bronzers and concealer, some travel beauty (exactly what I brought and used on my last trip of the summer) and a host of new fall product procurements. I cannot wait to share.
Stay strong, seek wisdom, much love and more soon,
