GrandeLASH-MD: A Deep Dive into Its Ingredients, Safety and How I Use It
INGREDIENTS
What makes GrandeLASH-MD so effective?
A cocktail of key ingredients synergistically work together to promote the appearance of longer, thicker and healthier-looking lashes in as little as 4-6 weeks. Most significantly, the proprietary lash complex includes Isopropyl Cloprostenate (I.C.) which is an analogue of prostaglandin; this ingredient is not to be confused with Bimatoprost, which is the active ingredient.
Just a small amount of I.C. is necessary in GrandeLASH-MD to enhance the appearance of eyelashes without sensitivity. The complex also includes power peptide Radish Root Ferment to condition, Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate, Grape Seed Extract (rich in vitamin E) and Amino Acids for lash health and Honey and Aloe Vera to sooth and nourish.
SAFETY
Is it safe?
Grande Cosmetics has earned the distinction of being the #1 Lash and Brow Serum Brand in the US* thanks to its efficacy and, most importantly, its safety. With more than 10 million units sold (with a mere 1% return rate, I might add), Grande has 100+ award wins and over 55,000 5-star reviews. Cruelty-free, Paraben-free, PETA-approved and ophthalmologist-tested, GrandeLASH-MD (which is also suitable for contacts and lash extensions) has undergone extensive, world-class third-party laboratory testing and the results speak for themselves.
Grande Cosmetics has also exceeded industry standards by performing a full toxicological risk assessment on GrandeLASH-MD which concluded that it is safe for its intended use and does NOT present a risk for iris color change or periorbital fat loss. Although all relevant studies can be explored on the Grande site, I will summarize the findings below:
-When it comes to eyelid irritation, there was no difference in irritation after applying a single application of GrandeLASH-MD on users and comparing to the baseline after 8 hours.
-A RIPT (Repeated Insult Patch Test) conducted by dermatologists over a 3-week period found no reported adverse events or conclusion of potential for dermal irritation
-A HET-CAM test found none-to-slight irritation potential (lowest possible score)
-A Toxicology Evaluation with Risk Assessment study focused on the safety of both the formula and each individual ingredient (including Isopropyl Cloprostenate) found that GrandeLASH-MD has an acceptable safety profile when used as intended
In summation, GrandeLASH-MD is exceedingly safe for use and, as a nearly decade long user of both GrandeLASH-MD and GrandeBROW, I can personally attest to these findings.
USAGE
How should I use GrandeLASH?
Using GrandeLASH-MD is effortless. Upon cleansing and drying the face, simply apply a single stroke at the base of the upper lash line only (like you would liquid eyeliner); one dip into the bottle is enough for both upper lash lines and using more than directed will not yield quicker results. Allow 2-3 minutes for the serum to dry before following with additional products.
Since this process only needs to be done once daily, I prefer to apply GrandeLASH-MD at night but the time of day, of course, is up to the individual user. Those with sensitive skin should apply every other day for two weeks until acclimated and if you miss a day at any point in your process, just pick up with your routine the following day; in other words, there’s not ever a need to double up on the application.
After desired results are achieved, apply every other day for maintenance. I’ve been in the maintenance phase for years and my fuller-looking lashes reflect this commitment.
RESULTS
What can I expect?
The beauty industry is rife with products that promise instant gratification but many of these claims end up being hollow. When it comes to GrandeLASH-MD, time, consistency and maintenance are essential for results. Over the course of 4-6 weeks of daily application, the serum syncs with the natural lash cycle for noticeably longer and healthier-looking lashes.
I like to think of GrandeLASH-MD as a crucial part of my skincare routine and every time I use it, I know I’m giving my lashes their best chance to thrive; they are lush and healthier-looking on their own and a coat or two of mascara merely amplifies the effect.
