Greens + Corals on Location: The Latest from Dolce & Gabbana and Armani Whilst in London

While in London earlier this month, I found myself embracing green and coral tones, perfect to offset the classic monochromatic elements of the city. Consequently, I am excited to share a makeup and style overview with these hues in mind, which also features the latest releases from Dolce & Gabbana and Giorgio Armani, shot at the Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel and local environs!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…
First, rife with a spectrum of new lip color shades and the creamiest blush in town, the Dolce & Gabbana spring and summer releases have a tropical energy that resonates with the warmer months.
*D&G Miss Sicily Colour & Care Lip Color.
I had the chance to try a few key hues from the *Miss Sicily Colour & Care Lip Color and am over the moon for the lushly moisturizing texture and lavish translucent color payoff.
With the nourishment of a balm and the radiance of a gloss, these pigmented wonders are a gorgeous hybrid lip color incarnation. While all the shades I tried are simply lovely and ever so effortless for summertime, Isabelle is featured later in this story!

Also a part of the round of recent releases, the *Tropical Coral Eyeshadow Duo, *Nail Lacquer (pictured above) and *Blush of Roses Creamy Face Coloring Rose Calizia (also reviewed HERE), deliver warm pink, coral and golden washes of color that punctuate the complexion while still looking natural. My favorite from this trio is the *Blush of Roses Creamy Face Coloring Rose Calizia, which has a sublime tone and texture that makes cheeks look flushed from within…so pretty!

  • *Burberry Cashmere Foundation in Honey: Luxurious and buildable medium to full coverage with a velvety finish that makes the complexion look smooth and healthy, this foundation formula is excellent for those seeking a lightweight formula with impressive coverage. Honey is a good match for my currently NC 25-30 skin and I will be sharing swatches of all shades in the very near future!
  • *Sisley-Paris Concealer #3 (reviewed HERE): Just a dab of this concealer with skincare benefits–blended under eyes–allows me to look much more rested than I feel.
  • *Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Diffused Bronze Light (reviewed HERE): Applied with my *Surratt Beauty Artistique Cheek Brush, this finely-milled bronzer has a resplendent, nearly matte true tan effect that contours and warms without looking the slightest bit conspicuous.

  • *Giorgio Armani Cruise Collection Sunset Eye Palette: This dramatically beautiful palette features a radiant of matte ivory beige, radiant golden bronze and green-tinged charcoal for a gilded look that can take eyes to next-level smolder. I prefer to use the golden bronze as a wash of all-over color, use the ivory to blend to the brow bone and apply a touch of the charcoal green at the crease (see below) for extra impact.
  • *Tom Ford Fiber Brow in Chestnut (reviewed HERE): This slightly deeper shade works well with my tan(ner) skin and the formula adds polish and definition to brows while staying in place all day.
  • *Sisley So Intense Mascara (reviewed HERE): Two coats for full and fluttery lashes…it’s a daily routine for me.

// STYLE NOTES //
  • A.L.C. Kaius Knit Midi Dress: In the most scrumptious shade of muted green, this dress can be dressed up or dressed down and the length adds a fascinating appeal. I bought mine for full price in late spring but it is now on sale, making it the perfect time to splurge in your size!
  • Nike Air Zoom Tennis Shoes: For a long day exploring, I opted for these ultra comfortable sneakers with a cushion of air that my feet utterly appreciate. The sleek black tone allow them to match virtually anything.
  • Black Leather Jacket: With classic lines and a slightly shorter cut, I reach for my moto jacket constantly…it pairs well with dresses and looks fabulous with jeans. I consider it a timeless and versatile investment.
  • Vintage Cartier Bracelets: Not a day goes by that I am not glad I pursued these timeless gems when I had the chance. Since I never take them off, they get more wear than nearly everything else I own!

Last look.

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this makeup and style breakdown and would love to know what caught YOUR eye…do tell!
Good things ahead, including a fresh video, a host of new product procurements and my recommendation for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in July…xx,

HI Rachel! Love seeing you on your London adventure! On our trip to Italy and France, this spring, I loved seeing fashionable ladies wearing "trainers" with all sorts of outfits. That green dress is stunning and I am sure you have walked the streets in search of all sorts of finds. You look fabulous and the makeup offerings are wonderful. Thanks for a great post!
