MAC Powder Kiss Lipstick and an Effortless Fall Look

*MAC Powder Kiss
Happy November! Today’s post is dedicated to a refreshingly innovative new lipstick release. *MAC Powder Kiss has a color-saturated cushiony texture that glides on like velvet and  dries down to a lush, powdery finish. It’s fresh and intriguing and wears like a dream!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches of all shades and a full beauty look with some of my favorite hues from the lineup as well as the Bottom Line…

*MAC Powder Kiss (also available at Bloomingdales)
I’ve been experimenting with the *MAC Powder Kiss (also available at Bloomingdales) for the past month and am very impressed with the fascinating nature of this lipstick. Although the sueded effect is unmistakable, the actual formula feels bouncy and moisturizing rather than dry and matte.
The pigment can be built to full opacity in a coat or two and it wears evenly and comfortably for 3-4 hours before I feel the need to touch up. The resulting blurred effect lends to a full and plush pout that diffuses light and color in the most interesting of ways.
The *MAC Powder Kiss comes in 16 shades in a balanced range of nudes, pinks, corals and reds…continue scrolling for swatches of every hue in the lineup as well as four of my favorites in action!

What it does: Delivering a romantic blur of soft-focus color, this weightless, moisture-matte lipstick was developed to replicate a backstage technique: blending out edges of matte lipstick for a hazy effect. Its groundbreaking formula contains moisture-coated powder pigments that condition and hydrate lips. The result is the zero-shine look of a matte lipstick with the cushiony, lightweight feel of a balm.

How to use: Gently buff away dry and flaky skin for soft and smooth lips. For ultimate smoothness and moisture, prime the entire lip and lip edges. Apply the lipstick directly to lips to achieve an effortless blurred look.

// THE FULL LOOK // The theme of this look is “effortless.” From formula to wear time, everything in this little menagerie applies easily and lasts for hours on end.
  • *LAWLESS Woke Up Like This Foundation in Sahara (also available at Neiman Marcus and all shades swatched and reviewed HERE): This clean foundation yields immediate medium coverage that is buildable to full in mere seconds while still looking like a second skin. The demi-matte finish takes on a dewy glow after awhile, for skin that looks natural yet perfected.
  • Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow Medium/Dark (also available at Beautylish): Every time I wear this particular bronzer (which is frequently, I might add), someone asks me the details! The deep brown works well to contour and add warmth and the glowing persimmon highlighter acts as a blush on my medium, olive-toned skin. I never want to be without this breezy and effective duo!
  • *Decorte Dip in Glow (reviewed HERE): I forgot how much I adore this colorless pearl cream illuminator…applied to the high points of the face, it lends a glorious glow that works well with all complexions.
