Introducing the  SUQQU Holiday 2019 Collection (also available at Harrods) as well as some other key launches from the brand.
The  SUQQU Holiday 2019 Collection (also available at Harrods) has arrived, delivering a gorgeous array of color that is equal parts refreshingly innovative and entirely wearable. I am excited to give you a look at some key pieces from the collection as well as some shade extensions in the venerable *SUQQU Extra Rich Glow Cream Foundation (spoiler alert: I’ve finally found my perfect match in this formula).
Kindly scroll on for all more details and swatches as well as some Style Notes (could these be the booties for which I’ve been searching?) and the Bottom Line…

*SUQQU Extra Rich Glow Cream Foundation
Technically not a part of the SUQQU Holiday 2019 Collection but launched recently, the *SUQQU Extra Rich Glow Cream Foundation now comes in two additional shades that will make those with medium olive and tan-to-deep skin very happy. The lush, moisturizing and buildable medium-to-full coverage formula blurs imperfections and fine lines instantly while imparting a natural and glowing finish that looks fresh and flawless for hours. Until now, my closest match has been #203 which is doable but a little too rosy/peachy for my skin. Enter 035 (initially reviewed HERE), a light-medium olive beige that works well for N/NC 27-30 skin…it’s truly my perfect match. Those with tan-to-deep skin (@N/NC/NW 42-45) will love the depth of shade 140, a rich amber tone with plenty of dimension.
When applied over the silky smooth *SUQQU Treatment Serum Primer, which provides intense moisture, a tender, skin-brightening glow and SPF 15 protection, the foundation becomes second skin and lasts the entire day. If you haven’t yet tried it, I implore you to consider doing so.
Also, not specifically holiday-related but still new and in the process of being tested is the *SUQQU Solid Eyebrow Pencil Refill in Khaki 01. This long wearing formula works on all skin types to add depth, shape and realistic color to brows for moments that call for extra impact. Khaki is a universal taupe tone that has just enough ashiness to seamlessly blend with most brow shades. Because the pencil is sold as a refill, don’t forget to procure the*SUQQU Eyebrow Holder at the same time!

For cheeks, I am beyond taken by the *SUQQU Pure Color Blush in #117 Kagayakizoe. This finely-milled, radiant powder formula features a gradient of tones–from peachy pink, to luminous pale peach to glowing champagne–which enables one to fully customize the depth and intensity of the blush with remarkable accuracy. I love focusing application of the left side of the pan on the apples of my cheeks (as reflected in the images at the end of this post) and then use a slightly smaller brush to sweep the shimmering champagne side along the high points of my face for wash of incandescence. This just may be my most favorite SUQQU blush yet.

*SUQQU Designing Color Eyeshadow Palette in 127 Fukakazari

The *SUQQU Designing Color Eyeshadow Palette in 127 Fukakazari confirms that cool jewel tones with a touch of pastel energy do exist. Replete with a pale peach pearl, velvety medium rose, lush purple and radiant denim blue, this palette takes buttery hues to the next level.

After procuring so many warm and bronzey palettes, this quad feels so refreshing and a touch reminiscent of all the good things about the beauty aesthetic of the 1980s.

I love blending a mix of the rose and purple all over my upper eye lid, sweeping the peach pearl to the brow bone and focusing a touch of the denim blue in the crease for a pink smoke effect.

*SUQQU Velvet Lipstick in 101 Kagedaidai

Finally, the *SUQQU Velvet Lipstick in 101 Kagedaidai is the most breathtaking spin on a red lipstick that I’ve experienced in a long while; perhaps this is because it basically a vibrant and creamy orange, rather than true red. The significant color payoff yields a creamy veil of persimmon-meets-crimson for a carnelian result that feels modern yet timeless. The formula itself is exceptionally hydrating and wears comfortably and gracefully…color me smitten.

// STYLE NOTES // I am a simple dresser and these pieces fulfill my style objectives on every level.
  • Reformation Petalo Wrap Crop Top: I already own (and nonstop wear) the green version of this classic wrap top and was thrilled to discover that a cream tone exists as well. Because it is slightly cropped, I suggest sizing up (I’m wearing a medium) and pairing it with high waisted jeans unless you’re looking for a midriff moment.
  • Reformation Baldwin Pleated Jeans: Pleats + jeans = a very content Beauty Professor. These pants have a high rise, relaxed fit and cropped, tapered ankle all the better to showcase one’s booties. I usually wear a size 25 or 26 in designer jeans but typically size up to a 27 in Reformation pants and the fit is spot on.
  • Corso Como Freen Pointy Toe Bootie: The neutral cream, gray and black snake print is so versatile and the soft leather requires very little breaking in (they seem to run TTS, I got mine in a size 7). I appreciate the edginess of the pointed to and block heel that measures in at well under 2 inches. They are a dream bootie and I can’t wait to wear them with everything under the sun!
  • Tissot Lovely Bracelet Watch 19.5mm: Still on my wrist each and everyday, I’m beginning to appreciate the old-fashioned feel of determining the time without looking at my phone (I already do that enough).
