products to achieve healthy hair
Haircare worth the pursuit.

Every week, I receive questions about what haircare products I use most frequently; admittedly, in a sea of options, it can be overwhelming to figure out which formulas are worth it and, over the last decade, I’ve tried a lot.

Today’s post is dedicated to my top haircare discoveries to keep my long hair strong and healthy…I’ve rigorously tried every single one and they can all be found Nordstrom.

Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of everything in action as well as the Bottom Line…

The Mane Event: My Top Picks for Healthy Hair

// The Haircare //

I’ve learned that having a fairly vast rotation of haircare is helpful in keeping my hair healthy and strong. To cleanse, the *Sisley-Paris Hair Ritual Volumizing Shampoo:  is incredible. The ingredients are impeccable and it leaves my hair clean and shiny without feeling stripped. Plus, it smells so luxe…like Paris in a bottle. I often use a touch of the Sisley-Paris Hair Rituel La Creme 230 on my damp hair; it acts as a detangler, heat protectant and smoothing leave-in and deliver results on all hair types.

I also adore then absolutely peerless Oribe Run-Through Detangling Primer, which removes every last snarl from my hair without weighing it down. If I am going to be in the sun, I always make sure to spritz a bit of the Oribe Bright Blonde Hair Lightening Mist. This peroxide-free formula (rare!) contains chamomile and lemon to gently encourage highlights while brightening. It also leaves my hair feeling super soft…my hair is naturally light brown and consistently using this formula has really helped to give my hair buttery blonde highlights with zero damage.

Brushes

In terms of brushes, I like the *Sisley-Paris Hair Ritual The Radiance Brush to add shine while smoothing my strands and the *Raincry Travel Detangling Brush is an excellent option for my handbag as it’s small yet mighty. I make sure to have some SLIP Silk Skinny Hair Scrunchies: on the handles of my brushes for easy access. There is nothing better than pure silk to hold your hair without causing it distress and these scrunchies are by far the most premium option!

Conditioning

For a deep conditioning experience, the new dpHue Gloss +: is remarkable. A veritable salon treatment for at-home use, this rich formula restores shine and radiance while (in all but the clear formula) depositing semi-permanent color for a brilliant glaze that really revitalizes the hair. I also am an ardent fan of the Augustinus Bader The Leave-In Hair Treatment, which is fragrance-free and features the proprietary AB TFC8 technology to repair locks from the inside out. To enhance growth on the long term, the Agent Nateur Holi Locks Strengthening Hair Growth Serum is exceptional.

I apply this nutrient rich formula (key ingredients include Follicusan, Capixyl and Redensyl) to my roots and leave in for a few hours (or even overnight) to nourish my scalp. Over the course of my weekly sessions with this powerhouse, I have found my hair to grow more quickly and my hair fall has dramatically reduced. This green elixir has an immediate detangling effect and leaves my hair wildly silky and soft and shiny.

Dry Shampoo

Finally, to take care of hair between washes, I use a lot of the *Oribe Magic Set, which contains two dry shampoo variations to absorb oil and add texture and hold to my tresses. I also appreciate the *Beautybio Healthy Scalp Dry Shampoo, which lifts hair from the roots while adding UV protection without the slightest powdery finish. To smooth, control frizz and add a masterful shine, a single drop (seriously, a little goes a very long way) of the Agent Nateur Hair Silk Peptides instantly takes care of business. This serum has the cleanest ingredients and smells like an opulent perfume…just sublime.

Hot tools on rotation…a very tight edit.

// TOOLS //

There are really only two heat tools I use for my hair regularly. The first is the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer, which I use a few times a month to blow-dry (I generally let my hair air dry) as it’s the absolute fastest option on the market in my experience.

The T3 Volumizing Hot Rollers, however, are a daily go-to. They heat up in a couple minutes and feature a velvet flocked texture that doesn’t tangle or cause breakage. I leave the rollers in for 15 minutes (typically while I do my makeup) and my hair is left with soft curls and major volume that lasts the day. Also, I cannot recommend these enough!

On my face.

For an effortless autumnal look, I applied the Valentino Foundation in MA04; it’s medium coverage with a natural finish that lasts all day…I forgot how much I love this one.  Then I used the Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand to sculpt and add warmth, and focused an application of Pinkgasm and Goldgasm on the apples of my cheeks and high points of my face, respectively. I swept the Valentino Rosa Emozione all over my eyes for lilac pink wash of color (this stunning hue can also be used on the cheeks) and applied a touch off the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eyeliner in my lower waterline.

For lips, I applied the iconic Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Liner and topped it with the Armani Lip Power 503 Eccentrico, which is a perfect mid-toned pink with a touch of pearl to make lips look full and lush. I can’t stop wearing this universally flattering shade!

Final touches.

The eye cream that I have single handedly run through the most of in the last few years is the glorious Clé de Peau Beauté Enhancing Eye Contour Cream Supreme, which adds magnificent hydration while firming and lifting while smoothing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. I also cannot stop reaching for the *Parfums de Marly Delina La Rosee, an ultra feminine juice rife with lychee, pear, bergamot, Turkish rose and white musk.

Fall is in the air and it’s finally cool enough to wear these fantastic split hem pants (similar options HERE, HERE and HERE). This fresh silhouette is a modern update on black leggings, featuring a higher waist, sleek leg, flare ankles and a slip hem for maximum movement. I added a minimalist bra top, classic chambray denim shirt and some extremely comfortable Vera Ankle Sandals for a casual cool weather look that can be dressed up or down with ease.
