August is but a day away and I am finally ready to weigh in on one of my most frequently asked questions. “What sunscreen are you using this summer?” After nearly two months of rigorous testing, I’m beyond thrilled to share the discovery that is ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless and Eryfotona Actinica SPF 50 as well as a first look at the new Clé de Peau Beauté Lip Color Collection.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of everything in action as well as the Bottom Line…
My Summer (and Beyond) Sunscreen Routine + a First Look at the New Clé de Peau Beauté Lipstick Collection
Over the summer, we’ve spent nearly two weeks in Florida and countless days at the beach and pool. With UV indexes through the roof, sunscreen has been a must and I (along with my husband and daughter) have been using the ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless SPF50 and Eryfotona Actinica SPF50 consistently. From the sultry Florida Keys to the cabanas of the Faena in Miami, we definitely gave these sunscreens a chance to prove themselves!
Both formulas are 100% mineral and fragrance free. It feature powerful SPF 50 (zinc oxide) and up to 40 minutes of water resistance. The texture is liquid and weightless and it dries down so quickly that you almost forget you’re wearing sunscreen. Although it’s a mineral formula there is no obvious white cast (amazing!). Reapplication throughout the day is quick and easy. In summation, it’s the best mineral sunscreen I’ve tried and I recommend it wholeheartedly and without reservation.
ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless SPF50
I love using the ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless SPF50 because it has a soft sheer tint that blurs pores and evens skin tone while providing immense protection. Thanks to peptides, antioxidants and DNA Repairsomes. This formula also helps to repair past sun damage for a brighter, smoother, healthier looking complexion. Because of these benefits, I plan to use this particular sunscreen year round!
Because it wasn’t tinted, my husband and Joey used the Eryfotona Actinica SPF50+ each day. Despite long days in the sunshine, neither sustained a sunburn of any kind. In light of this i’ll be throwing this sunscreen into my beach bag for them for all other future excursion to the beach or pool.

// POOLSIDE MAKEUP //
To effortlessly prepare my complexion for a day adjacent to the water, I’ve been reaching for the Chanel Les Beiges Water Fresh Complexion Touch in B50 (light coverage with a skin finish that stays in place all day…LOVE) followed by a dose of warmth courtesy of Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Sun Kissed Glow Bronzer in Medium (velvety color that looks incredibly natural) and/or the Chantecaille Radiance Gel Liquid Bronzer (for a more water color effect). For cheeks, the Chantecaille Cheek Gelee in Happy is a iridescent wash of flushed radiance (a lifetime favorite) and if you can get your hands on the *SUQQU Melting Powder Blush #11, you must as its soft pinky radiance is unparalleled. Finally for lips, I am very smitten as of late with the Trish McEvoy Barely Nude Lip Liner…it’s the perfect neutral and the texture is gorgeous. Buying a back up this weekend!
Clé de Peau Beauté
Onto the lipsticks! Clé de Peau Beauté has just launched a stunning lip color collection featuring satin, matte and shine finishes thanks to CdPB Global Creative Director Benjamin Puckey who I had the delight of seeing again this week! Opulent on every level, these lipsticks deliver immense hydration, gorgeous color payoff and lasting finishes that flatter a spectrum of complexions. In other words, they are pure luxury for the lips.
The *Clé de Peau Beauté The Lipstick has a lush cream-meets-satin finish that instantly hydrates the lips, leaving them full and flushed in a single swipe. I am basically captivated by every one of the shades swatched below but I’ve been reaching for 10 Tantalizing Tan (a fresh peachy beige…v. 1960s), 12 Power Mauve (a cool pinky mauve) and 14 Snapdragon (a true light-medium pink with a touch of luminosity) most of all.
Clé de Peau Beauté Lipstick Matte
The Clé de Peau Beauté Lipstick Matte possesses a silky, velvety texture that envelops lips with intense pigment that stays multidimensional and comfortable (read: not drying) for hours of wear. Some of shade standouts for me include 111 High Achiever (a cool rosy nude that looks good on everyone) and 114 Splendorous (a classic medium pink).
Clé de Peau Beauté Lipstick Shine
The Clé de Peau Beauté Lipstick Shine is the sheerest formula of the collection but each of the shades I’ve tested still have significant color payoff, especially in light of the translucent and glossy nature of this iteration. The formula feels hydrating and nourishing and the soft, non-sticky shine lasts for hours. Two of my favorites shades in the lineup below are 211 Influential (a quintessential pinky nude with great depth) and 213 Playful Pink (a vibrant baby pink that instantly brightens the face…I’m wearing it in the images throughout this post).
// STYLE NOTES //
This minimalist poolside ensemble includes an olive green zebra bikini top (wearing a medium…love the fit on this one), some flouncy shorts (wearing a medium, currently on sale), a mens white buttodown and some Dior dad sandals (so comfortable…wearing a 37).
