My Comprehensive Skincare Wardrobe for spring

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a makeup free image on Instagram and mentioned that the skincare wardrobe that I’ve been diligently using has contributed to a newfound confidence in my bare skin. In my adult years, I’ve always felt better with makeup–however natural the look–on and, while skincare has been consistent focus, it hasn’t resulted in a freedom to go foundation-free until recently.

Don’t get me wrong, makeup will always be a joy for me to pursue, test and wear but I am grateful for the many skincare formulations and devices I’ve had the opportunity to discover and hope that an updated overview of these finds will serve as a helpful resource.

Please note, I don’t use all of these products at the same time, they, like any wardrobe, are on regular rotation; however, all have been tested thoroughly for efficacy…these recommendations come from my heart and my skin!

Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and a brief style section as well as the Bottom Line…

Supplements.

// SUPPLEMENTS //

Though not traditional skincare, these three supplements work from within to deliver nutrients to the skin below the surface. At the end of the day, they also get me to drink more water daily, which, of course, is utterly essential for healthy skin

Agent Nateur holi mane:

This ultra-premium marine collagen and pearl powder blend strengthens nails, fortifies hairs (and, in my experience, helps to reduce shedding), increases skin volume and is rife with her 30 trace minerals to support overall health. I add a scoop to my iced coffee daily and am reveling in the benefits. My mom uses this as well…it sells out often (just purchased my second bag as each bag lasts for approximately 30 days) so snap it up if you see it in stock! Use Agentrachel for 15% off.

HerPower:

I am a massive fan of MixHers including the period-friendly HerTime and sweet-tooth reducing HerCrave but my favorite iteration from the brand is the stimulant-free HerPower, which contains adaptogens to help me focus and stay productive over the course of a hectic day. Oh, and it tastes incredible!

Tandem:

From an ingredient standpoint, while this is technically not a true supplement, the fact that this sugar free water flavoring gets me to drink more water each day is a benefit worth noting. With flavors like Lemon Lime with Ginger and Mango Coconut with Turmeric, these single serve powders make my water consumption easier and more appetizing.

Devices.

// DEVICES etc. //

When it comes to skincare technology at home, the future is now. Here are some of the devices I use regularly that deliver noticeable results.

ZIIP (reviewed HERE):

When it comes to micro current and nano-current (the ZIIP is the first consumer device to utilize both), consistency is key. This device conveniently syncs with your cell phone for customized treatments with accompanying video tutorials with ZIIP founder Melanie Simon so you always get it right. I use my ZIIP 2-3 times a week and have noticed a profound improvement in skin quality as well as firmness and smoothness. Additionally, all of my readers and followers who have purchased the ZIIP have come back to me with glowing reviews…try it and you’ll see what I mean. Use BP20 for 20% off.

*TriPollar:

Harnessing the rare power of radio frequency, the heat from this cutting-edge device travels deep below the dermis to stimulate collagen product, resulting in firmer, tighter and more line-free skin, especially in the neck area. It can be used 2-3 times a week and, once you start seeing improvements, I promise you’ll want to continue your time with this very special device. Use Rachel-20 for 20% off.

CurrentBody The Neck and Dec Perfector:

Speaking of the neck, this red light and infrared light mask works to improve skin tone, firmness and tightness in the neck and décolleté area. Clinically proven to reduce wrinkles by 35% in 4 weeks, this mask is so easy to wear while working at the computer (my constant position) or watching TV.

Knesko Skin Gemstone White Jade Roller:

There’s nothing quite like a roller to ease away facial tensions and this white jade version from luxury mask brand Knesko is my go-to. The weighty material applies just the right amount of pressure and, when coupled with a sheet mask, helps to improve efficacy by sending the actives deeper into the dermis.

ReFa 4 Carat:

For the body, this rolling device is a game-changer. The four rotating heads mimic the pressure of fingers, kneading skin to boost circulation and collagen production while reducing the appearance of cellulite on arms and legs.

*Sleep and Glow Pillow:

I have been using this pillow for the last couple of months and am so pleased with how it is keeping me from applying undue pressure to my face (one of the main causes of fine lines and wrinkles over time). Although I fall asleep on my back, I often end up on my side halfway through the night and the artful indentations on the far ends this pillow essentially suspend my face above the surface so that I don’t incur pressure (and, consequently, wrinkles) while on my side. It’s completely comfortable and gives me the best night’s sleep. Use Beautyprofessor10 to save $10.

cleansers for face
Cleansers etc.

// CLEANSERS Etc. //

Cleansers, natural deodorants (that work!) and a multifaceted take on Gua Sha.

PMD Clean Facial Cleansing Device:

I have used this sonic device for well over two years and continue to appreciate its ability to adeptly clean my skin without causing irritation. The vibrating silicone brush heads gently remove every last trace of dirt and makeup so my skin is squeaky clean without feeling dry or tight.

Naturium Niacinimide Cleansing Gelee:

As evidenced by the image above, I am almost finished with this cleanser; I use it daily in the shower and appreciate how the lightweight, niacinimide-rich gel masterfully cleanses while leaving my skin bouncy and balanced.

*Ranavat Luminous Ceremony Cream Cleanser: (reviewed HERE)

This is another cleanser that I’ve used to the last drop (so satisfying, no?). The creamy texture makes my nighttime regimen feel more like a ritual rather than a routine and the lush formula removes even the most formidable waterproof makeup with gentle efficacy.

Kosassport Chemistry (reviewed HERE):

Almost every natural deodorant (read: aluminum-free and not an anti-perspirant) I have tried has left me wanting. Until I tried Chemistry last spring. The serum-based formula utilizes AHAs to transform the armpit environment so that odor doesn’t have the chance to develop and grow. I am close to finishing my second tube, which is really saying something!

Agent Nateur No. 5 Deodorant:

For moments when I crave a deodorant solid, this beautiful blend from Agent Nateur is a must. The unisex fragrance has a sophisticated soft musk and lavender vibe and it really works to sooth my underarms and keep odor at bay. Use Agentrachel for 15% off.

*Gelid Gua Sha:

This brilliant handheld tool features the restorative properties of Gua Sha to assist in lymphatic drainage, facial massage and tension relief while also possessing red light therapy, vibration and heating benefits that relax my TMJ-ridden jaw with every treatment. I love to use this right after cleansing my face (hence, its position in the lineup) for a spa-like treatment at home.

Perris Skin Fitness Lift Anti-Aging Peel Medium | My Comprehensive Skincare Wardrobe
Masks + peels.

// MASKS, PEELS + TARGETED FORMULAS //

A formula for every skin mood and area…

*Perris Skin Fitness Lift Anti-Aging Peel Medium:

This peel–from a gorgeous Monaco-based skincare line–works to smooth and refine the skin for a firmer visage in a few minutes. Talk about instant gratification!

YonKa Paris Glyconight 10%:

When I am experiencing dullness, I reach for this overnight mask which utilizes a significant level of glycolic acid to increase cell turnover without drying out or irritating the skin. It’s simply magnificent.

Lancer Gentle Exfoliating Peel Pads:

For a gentle daily exercise in exfoliation, these individually wrapped pads–which contain both alpha hydroxy acid and lactic acid–are marvelous for revealing smoother, clearer skin in a single pass.

Sisley-Paris Velvet Sleeping Mask:

When my skin needs extra moisture and pampering, this luxe mask always soothes. The thyme honey and shea butter expertly restore hydration and my skin is so soft upon waking.

Dr. Janine Mahon Rejuvenating Breast Oil:

I love to sing the praises of this oil as often as possible as it has helped me immensely with hormonal health in the décolletage area. Dr. Mahon’s expert knowledge of Chinese medicine manifests in the beautiful range of products she offers and this oil, her first formulation to market a couple of years ago, is so special. It encourages lymphatic drainage, reduces swelling and inflammation and addresses hormonal pain. I even put a couple drops on my lower stomach during my “time of the month” for incredible relief from bloating and discomfort. It’s truly a miracle oil that is rooted in science.

Clé de Peau Beauté Precious Gold Vitality Mask:

When I am looking to indulge in a lavish skincare experience with noticeable results, I reach for this gilded mask, which contains 24K gold, resveratrol, amino acids and antioxidants to restore brightness, firmness and volume to tired skin. It’s a stunning experience from start to finish!

Tracie Martyn Resculpting Neck and Body Serum:

I am always seeking ways to firm and sculpt my neck and décolleté naturally and this fragrance-free serum is all I’ve been using as of late. Amino acids, enzymes, seaweed extract and Silver Tremella instantly firm slack skin and the lightweight formula feels like nothing on. Highly recommend.

Clean Logic Dual Texture Facial Exfoliating Pads:

This has been my favorite way to exfoliate lately. I simply apply some Ivory soap (a staple in my life since I was born) on the more textured side of the pad (the other side is super soft) and buff my face until it is wildly smooth. The pads are washable and even have a loop for hanging them in the shower…so simple, so good.

Agent Nateur Holi Trio
Creams + serums.

// CREAMS + SERUMS //

Whether I have time for a multi-step skincare routine or not, these are one and done formulations that I do not want to live without.

Agent Nateur Holi Trio (also available at Agent Nateur):

These three products–the holi water, holi c and holi oil–collectively made me an Agent Nateur devotee last year. Crafted with the finest clean ingredients including hyaluronic acid, active vitamin C and rosehip oil, the trio keeps my skin balanced, bouncy, taut and glowing and the anti-aging properties (mix holi water and holi c for a major brightening and smoothing result) are just as good as its luxury mainstream beauty counterparts. Use Agentrachel for 15% off

Augustinus Bader Rich Cream (reviewed HERE):

If you’ve read this blog for any length of time then you know that my passion for the AB Rich Cream runs deep. I’ve been using it nonstop for over three years now (time flies!) and am still as committed as ever. This fragrance-free wonder delivers intense hydration, imparts a glow and masterfully contributes to the look of visibly healthy skin. I now have my mom, husband and sister-in-law hooked on this formula as well!

Serucell KFS Serum (reviewed HERE):

I started using Serucell last spring and deeply appreciate its ability to firm, brighten and seriously refine my skin with consistent usage. It transforms the look of skin on the outside while also enhancing the interior structure of one’s face (read: stronger jawline and lifted contours). It’s truly marvelous!

La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Pearl Infusion (reviewed HERE):

For a maximum level of brightening, firmness and elasticity, this weightless golden caviar and vitamin C-rich formula is a fortifying spurge with tangible positive outcomes.

*Farmacy Filling Good:

Brimming with hyaluronic acid, encapsulated thyme extract, vegan collagen peptides and proprietary honey blend, this gem of a serum works to plump fine lines and wrinkles for a youthful radiance in a single pump. I can’t wait to keep using this formula (it launched a couple of weeks ago) to continue to calibrate results…so far, so very good.

*BY TERRY Hyaluronic Global Face Cream: (reviewed HERE)

Rife with eight different types of hyaluronic acids, this recent launch which is 100% fragrance-free has quickly ingratiated itself into my routine. The fluffy cream instantly absorbs into skin, reducing redness and fine lines while infusing skin with a beautiful dose of moisture. It’s an absolute star in the BY TERRY skincare family and I hope it’s back in stock by the time this story goes live!

*Koh Gen Do Oriental Treatment Plants Balm:

This opulent solid texture balm heals and protects sensitive skin while reducing inflammation and irritation. Bonus…it can be used anywhere on the face or body making it a utilitarian dream.

SUNSCREEN, LASHES + BROW products | My Comprehensive Skincare Wardrobe
Sunscreen, lashes and brows.

// SUNSCREEN, LASHES + BROWS //

Essential details, like SPF and lash and brow enhancing formulas have major payoffs.

SUQQU Watery Protector SPF30:

With a lightweight liquid texture and a skin brightening pale peach tint, this sophisticated formula offers SPF 30 protection and a priming effect that plays extremely well with makeup.

MD Solarsciences MD Creme Beauty Balm in Medium/Dark:

This is a newer brand discovery and I am so happy to be able to share it! Featuring 100% broad spectrum mineral protection, this velvety tinted balm applies sheerly while adding a tender wash of color that works well alone or under makeup while offering a stalwart dose of SPF50.

Supergoop SheerScreen: (also available at Nordstrom):

Supergoop! sunscreens find their way into my content frequently as I am a fan of the formulas’ ingredients and performance and this newest version boasts SPF 30 mineral-based protection. The sunscreen feels fresh and weightless and also (I’m sensing a trend) wears well under makeup.

Latisse:

It took me nearly a decade to realize that committing to this lash formulation would be worth it. Now, after nearly five weeks of nightly usage (I use the pinpoint side of my Roen Everything Eye Brush to apply along my upper lash line), I am noticing longer, darker lashes that look dramatically robust with just a single coat of mascara.

GrandeLash/Brow:

I also attribute my full brows to this fortifying serum that I apply every single night. My mom and I both have used it for years and consider it the best in its class. The Sephora sale is the perfect time to stock up!

Le Metier de Beauté Creme Fresh Tint
A dash of makeup.

// A DASH of MAKEUP //

Some classic staples and new launches for the look that follows.

*SUQQU The Cream Foundation 035 (reviewed HERE)

Just a drop of this rich and velvety foundation provides buildable medium coverage that lasts all day, even in heat and humidity.

*Guerlain Terracotta Sunkissed Natural Bronzer Powder:

This newly reformulated iconic bronzer features 96% naturally derived ingredients and six shades to complement a spectrum of complexions. My perfect match in this silky smooth wonder is #3. Scroll down for swatches.

*House of Sillage x Disney Blush Duo (reviewed HERE):

I swept a touch of this pinky peach blush (SUCH a gorgeous shade) along my cheeks for a glowing flush.

*Le Metier de Beauté Creme Fresh Tint in Mystique:

I am over the moon that Le Metier de Beaute has returned to the beauty sphere and these creme tints are a welcome return to my makeup mix. The pale pink wash of luminous color that Mystique imparts looks incredible on the apples of one’s cheeks.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter 4.5 (reviewed HERE):

I strategically put this warm beige shade on the high points of my face for a bouncy glow that makes skin look lit from within. To this day, there is nothing quite like it.

*Kosas AirBrow in Dark Brown (reviewed HERE):

Fully, fluffy and feathery brows in two strokes? Yes, please! This clean brow gel adds depth and hold and contains ingredients that actually fortify the brows with consistent usage.

Au Naturale Lip Stains in Miami and Paris:

These lip stains are incredibly versatile…the soft, sueded and clean formula bathes lips in hydrating color that, once set, does not budge. The color payoff is so significant that I decided to blend a bit of Miami on my eyes for a sunset hue and it resisted creasing all day. A slick of Paris on the lips and my look was complete!

// STYLE NOTES //

EllandEmm Capril Sweatshirt:

Every time I wear this luxe pullover, I am transported to a chic island with azure seas and a welcoming sun. It’s classic yet modern and oh so soft. I am wearing a medium for an oversized look.

AGOLDE Parker Shorts:

I wear these shorts multiple times a week and wholly recommend them. They have a mid rise and are short without being too short. These are a sizes 27.

Teva Universal Platform:

Teva has come a long way from the sporty hiking sandals of my youth. This platform version features a cushiony sole (made of recycled materials, no less) that lengthens the leg with a couple inches and the velcro straps come in a myriad of colors and patterns. I love the neutral energy of this leopard-inspired pair and have already worn them a ton. Also, they run very true to size (wearing 7 here).

    A question regarding the Gelid Gua Sha: I have pain from TMJ with trigeminal neuralgia in my face. I know heat often feels soothing to me, but would this be the device you would recommend for facial lymph massage and drainage, or something like NuFace? Also, are you a huge at-home microneedling devotee?
