Dermaplaning is absolutely transformative for the skin and leave it Versed to release a slick, minty green version for us all to enjoy. The highly specialized razor removes dead skin and peach fuzz with ease, resulting in an ultra pristine canvas. After this process, the skin glows and makeup glides on extra smoothly.

MISS SWISS brush holder

I’ve also been enjoying the MISS SWISS brush holder as a streamlined yet secure way to store my favorite brushes. With the utility of a Swiss Army knife in mind, this *clever and streamlined container with capacity for personalization holds brushes (or any other brush-sized product like lipgloss or eyeliner) upright while the protective top ensures that dust is not an issue. Can’t wait to try more from this brand!

Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation in VII and IX
The makeup.

// WHAT’S INSIDE: THE MAKEUP //

*Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation in VII and IX:

I have updated my shades in this brilliant clean formula and have fallen in love with its coverage and performance all over again. The stick imparts buildable perfecting powers and a creamy natural finish that lasts the day without creasing or pooling. Currently, VII (worn in the images at the end of this post) is a perfect match for my early summer skin and I will bounce up to the caramel IX by dead of summer.

*Westman Atelier Beauty Butter Powder in Soleil Riche:

I finally found my perfect Westman Atelier bronzer in this shade. This true chocolate tan makes skin look bronzed without the slightest bit of orange and the smooth and buttery satin matte finish looks flattering on all skin types and ages.

*Westman Atelier Super Loaded Tinted Cream Highlighter in Peau de Rose:

For a shot of luminosity and a lit-from-within vitality, this soft pearly pink cream is stunning, I love it almost as much as my lifetime favorite, Peau de Peche (reviewed HERE).

*Nastasha Denona Puff Paint in Darya, Tan and Bloom (also available at Sephora):

This brand new trio of multitasking pigments are feather light with a blendable mousse-like texture that melts into the skin while imparting a gorgeous pop of color. The peachy pink Darya looks gorgeous on the cheeks (worn in the images at the end of this post), Tan adds a lovely warmth and Bloom gives a medieval just-pinched look that is timeless and flattering on all skin tones. The formula can also be worn on eyes and lips for a chic monochromatic effect.

*Kosas AirBrow in Dark Brow (also reviewed HERE):

Ever on my brows, this clean formulation contains castor oil to encourage brow strength and growth and the pigment and plant fibers offer color, depth and a feathery hold for the best brows of your life.

Huda Beauty Lipliners in Pinky Brown and Muted Pink:

I am so impressed with this lip liner–I have used up an entire Muted Pink (I wear it constantly with my au Naturale lip cream stain in LA–discussed HERE) and recently picked up the more neutral Pinky Brown with equal appreciation. The formula is creamy and long lasting and I love that it’s retractable. No sharpener needed!

*Westman Atelier Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm in Ma Puce and Nana:

Plush and shiny with clean ingredients and a delightful wash of color, these new lip glosses are beyond. Ma Puce is a rosy raspberry for a just bitten look and the nude beige Nana is stunning alone or over deeper colors (worn over Sisley Peach in the images at the end of this post).

Sisley-Paris Phyto Lip Twist in Peach:

Forever a favorite, this luminous peachy balm offers a wash of color that never disappoints. It’s bright, but not overpowering and looks amazing over pinky nude lip liner. **Worn in the images at the end of this post.

*Fillerina Plus Eye and Lip:

I am always looking for ways to increase lip volume and combat fine lines around the eyes and this lush formula helps to stimulate collagen production while drenching skin in plumping hydration…to see results, just stay consistent with application. I am fan of Fillerina in general and this is a fun (and effective) addition to my routine.

Encinitas Sweater Set
Style notes.

// STYLE NOTES PART I //

  • Encinitas Sweater Set: This summer set is so versatile as the pieces look great on their own (with other elements from one’s wardrobe, of course) or together as worn above and below. The knit is soft yet structured and even though the cut of the set is body conscious (I’m wearing a medium), it’s not skin tight. I’m already planning all the places that I want to wear this over the next few months.
  • Kurt Geiger Polly Mules: I bought these on a whim and love how fancy they look for being a slide on flat. Even though they have a sophisticated point, they are wide at the base of the foot for maximum comfort and the chains add an additional element of allure. Oh, and they are on sale! I am wearing a size 7.

White button down chambray Oxford
Style notes part II

//STYLE NOTES PART II //

  • White button down chambray Oxford: In my experience, the key to the perfect white button down is to buy it in the mens department. I sized up to a medium in this one and wear it constantly…it’s polished yet relaxed and works well with shorts and jeans alike.
  • Denim shorts: These are currently my favorite denim cutoffs and they are on sale as of publish date. I am wearing them in a size 27 and
  • Kurt Geiger Polly Mules: See above for the breakdown on these on-sale gems!

Also, as I move away from 24/7 loungewear a bit this summer, here are some of the places and pieces I’m shopping:

This O’Neil bikini top is perfection.

It provides support, has a classic cut and is endlessly comfortable…I wear it in a medium and picked it up in a few colors. Get it while you can!

I’m super into the ease of matching sets and this one from Free People is fresh and timeless.

The blue jade and winter wheat shades that it comes in are both flattering and summery, even with long sleeves.

Every Hunza G bathingsuit that I have purchased has been incredible and well worth the splurge.

They sell out often but Revolve seems to have the greatest array of options in stock…the one size fits all promise is shockingly accurate.

Verishop is currently having a killer clearance sale on their designer offerings.

With a buy one get one free promotion, this is the time to embrace the types of pieces you haven’t been able to wear for the last year. I have my eye on these python mules, this p0plin mini dress and these timeless Ksubi jeans (pro tip: size up 1-2 sizes).

I love a good clear sandal…it matches everything and has a 1960s energy that always feels right.

This pair from Schutz comes in a few different color combinations and the reviews are wonderful. I picked up the ones with the honey base in a 7 1/2 (some said that they ran a half a size small) and cannot wait for them to arrive (any day now!).

Ever in search of the quintessential denim jacket, this recent discovery from Lee caught my eye.

It’s loose and lightweight and has an interesting wash that isn’t like everything else. I ordered it in a size medium…keep an eye out for it on BP soon!

I wear these Frame Le Original jeans weekly.

The light wash feels like summer and the high waist holds everything in while remaining comfortable. Highly recommended.

These Fendi sunglasses are positively screaming my name.

The oversized styling and subtle cat eye scream Audrey Hepburn and I love that they come in three colors. Now I just need to decide which one to pick up!

    Enjoying that awesome Riki Loves Riki Organizer! Design-wise, it looks like a retail display, and the clear acrylic allows it to go with most decor.
