September Thoughts: Exactly Which Products I’m Reaching for and Sales I’m Shopping

Last week, we stayed at a beautiful Mid-Century home in Palm Springs; it’s become a family tradition and such an ideal place to unwind and reflect and I used a bit of the time to document the products that have taken me through the end of summer and into the fall.

Skincare on heavy rotation.

In terms of skincare, I’ve been loving:

*DefenAge 8-in-1 Serum:

This fragrance-free serum skillfully tends to skin of all types, soothing, brightening and evening skin tone while instantly firming and hydrating. I’m very much impressed!

Agent Nateur Holi Oil:

I’m on my 5th bottle of this skincare wonder; it moisturizes and nourishes while healing and soothing every irritation. I use it on myself and whenever Joey gets a scratch or cut. Also, mix it with foundation for the glowiest complexion ever.

Agent Nateur Holi Water + Agent Nateur Holi C:

Try mixing 4 pumps of the toner with a dime sized amount of the revolutionary C powder for a bespoke elixir that firms and brightens skin without irritation. I have used this duo for years now and it’s my C of choice thanks to its calibrated results.

*Agent Nateur Lash and Brow Serum:

I have been using this serum on my lashes and have really noticed extra growth on my lower lashes. For brows, too soon to tell results but it’s an excellent formula to leave them looking groomed and polished.

Augustinus Bader The Light Cream:

If you want the iconic and proprietary Bader TFC8 complex in the lightest formula possible, this cream is for you. It delivers beautiful results while feeling like absolutely nothing.

Colorescience Flex SPF 50 Tinted in Medium and Tan:

I have used this combination for 3 summers straight. It provides mineral SPF 50 protection and foundation-level coverage (medium to full) that perfects skin and stays in place, even in the water. I NEVER burn when I wear this. Highly recommended.

ISDIN Actinica SPF 50+ (reviewed HERE):

This 100% mineral sunscreen provides immense protection with impeccable ingredients. I also love the lightly tinted Eryfotona Ageless formula for equally stalwart protection that also improves the clarity of skin over time. Use Beautyprofessor15 for 15% off site-wide.

*French Farmacy Serum Radiant and the *French Farmacy Elixir Exfoliant:

I am really enjoying this opulent pairing to exfoliate (use 2-3 times a week) and moisturize. The ingredients list is exquisite and it feels luxe and indulgent on the skin.

Lawless Forget the Filler Overnight Lip Plumping Mask:

I’ve run through at least 3 jars of this extra plush lip treatment. It really hydrates while leaving lips pillowy soft and full upon waking…simply sublime.

SOZGE Nail Strengthener:

After reading tons of positive reviews, I ordered this and am pleased with how rock hard it makes my nails…it’s a great companion to at-home nail care.

Naturium Bio-Lipid Restoring Body Lotion:

Fragrance-free, extremely hydrating and instantly absorbed, this lotion is fabulous for under $15…it’s often sold out so snap it up when you can!

*DefensAge 10 Luxe Hand and Body Cream:

This rich formulation glides onto skin and firms and moisturizers on contact. I love that it also reduces itchiness when my skin is acting up.

GrandeBrow (reviewed HERE):

Still my regular brow go-to to keep my arches full, shiny and voluminous. Use Beautyprofessor15 for 15% off site wide!

ISDIN Actinica SPF 50+ for September Thoughts
One of my favorite sunscreens of life…the ISDIN Actinica SPF 50+ (reviewed HERE) is currently 15% off for BP readers with code BEAUTYPROFESSOR15 (the code works site-wide).

Makeup musts.

This is the makeup I cannot get enough of lately:

Chanel Les Beiges Water Fresh Complexion Touch in B50 (reviewed HERE):

This lightweight foundation provides medium coverage and a skin finish that lasts, even in hot and humid weather. Truly exceptional!

Clé de Peau Beauté The Concealer in Buff (reviewed HERE):

Forever in my makeup bag, this concealer is every bit as wonderful as you’d expect. Extremely concentrated, a tube will last for years, even with regular usage.

Gucci Bronzer #3 (reviewed HERE):

This bronzer adds major true tan dimension to the face without being overtly shimmer or matte. It’s special and worth it.

Make Heat Stroke Blush in Slush:

A creamy gel with buildable color payoff, this blush is a stunning and rare cool pink that leans purple for a natural looking flush. I love it so much, I just bought one for my mom!

Chantecaille Blush in Emotion (reviewed HERE):

A peachy pink for a just pinched look…focus application on the apples of your cheeks for doll-like effect.

Charlotte Tilbury Pinkgasm:

Believe the hype on this one! This blush adds an ethereal, flushed, lit-from-within look that is singular in execution. It recently was restocked and I would run, not walk, to add it to cart while you can.

SUQQU Melting Powder Highlighter 101:

Although sold out almost everywhere, I found one retailer that still has this gilded beauty in stock…it melts into skin and looks extremely incandescent without obvious shimmer.

Gee Beauty Molten Powder in Pink Bronze:

I picked this up on a whim and love the warm pink hue this imparts…try it on cheeks and eyes for a monochromatic effect.

Nude Envie Liner in Timeless and Perfection:

Timeless is warm and natural and Perfection leans cool pink. Both have a creamy application and waterproof lasting power that makes them heavy hitters in my makeup bag. Also, check out an exciting new lip color collaboration I’m working on with this gorgeous independent makeup brand HERE.

Trish McEvoy Barely Nude Lip Liner (reviewed HERE):

I use this multiple times a week…strong color payoff in the perfect balance of pink and beige.

Gee Beauty S’More liner:

A hair darker than TM Barely Nude this brown toned nude looks fabulous with an array of lip colors in my rotation.

Au Naturale x Beauty Professor LA Lip Stain (reviewed HERE):

I run through this peachy pink cream (and an au Naturale best seller!)  like water…still on my lips almost daily after nearly 3 years. Have you tried it yet?

Trish McEvoy Perfection Lipstick (reviewed HERE):

Hard to find but well worth the pursuit, this creamy mauve has a universal appeal…track it down and embrace it if you can.

La Perla Nude Red Lipstick:

This is such a gorgeous shade…equal parts pink, nude, beige and peach with major color payoff and hydration. One swipe and you’ll fall in love.

Lawless Forget the Filler in Glaze:

This shimmering champagne beige looks so pretty alone or atop a deeper lip color shade. All of the Lawless FTF shades are lovely but this one is a favorite.

Beauty Bio Pout Lip Plumper (reviewed HERE):

I always have this in my purse. It really adds volume and fullness to the lips on contact without irritation…one of the best!

Tom Ford Fiber Brow Gel in Taupe:

I’ve used this for years and am glad it’s finally back in stock after a long hiatus of being unavailable. If I had to use one brow gel for life, it would be this one.

Le Metier de Beaute Obsidian Mascara:

Not yet launched but coming soon…it adds dramatic volume and length without budging, yet removes easily! In the meanwhile use BP20 for 20% off site wide!

I shopped their summer sale in person earlier this week and picked up this Vince blouse (so chic and in the prettiest green hue), these Rag and Bone linen blend trousers (a timeless staple at a great price point) and this Farm Rio dress (a classic pop of color for under $100!). Also, these Schutz clear sandals are a wild savings!
