Sephora Holiday Savings Event 2021 Recommendations: An Intimate List

// SKINCARE + HAIRCARE //

Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream (reviewed HERE):

At this point, I have run through countless bottles of this cream; I am a fan for life. There is nothing quite as instantly hydrating for bouncy skin that glows…it heals and restores while having magnificent anti-aging capabilities as well. Get it while it’s 20% off…you won’t regret it.

Augustinus Bader the Body Cream (reviewed HERE):

I am almost out of this jar of cream and am looking forward to digging into a new one soon. It’s plush, nourishing and instantly absorbs and, according to a plethora of personal accounts, fights the appearance of crepiness and cellulite; it’s my post-shower indulgence as of late.

*Saint Jane Petal Cream (reviewed HERE):

For lightweight hydration with potent ingredients (including vitamin c, hyaluronic acid and CBD) , this cream is unparalleled. Just a single pump and my skin is calm and balanced.

*Dae Shampoo:

This lush and pure formulation smells amazing (think: sweet yet sophisticated prickly pear) and it cleans without stripping hair of its valuable oils. I pair it with the *Dae Conditioner for smooth, shiny tresses and wholly recommend the duo.

*Naturally Serious Lemon Aid Cleansing Gel:

I love a cleanser that also removes makeup and this silky gel adeptly takes care of business while leaving my skin balanced and fresh.

Westman Atelier Foundation Stick VII (reviewed HERE):

I have used this stick consistently since its launch and adore how versatile it is; the coverage can be built from sheer to full and it blends out and stays put like a dream. The clean formula is creamy and smooth (pro tip: prep your skin with a moisturizer like the Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream for best results) and shade VII is my ideal fall/winter match (worn, in part, in the images at the end of the post).

*Lawless Conseal the Deal Foundation in Tawny (ALL shades swatched and reviewed HERE):

I am so impressed with this clean serum foundation as it is extremely liquid and lightweight in texture while imparting full coverage in a few drops. The foundation glides over skin, blurring fine lines and imperfection while lasting for hours without the need for touch ups. Truly a gem.

*Tower28 Sunny Days SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen Foundation in 30 and 35:

My most recent procurement in the base category, this genius mineral sunscreen features light to medium foundation-level coverage with a natural-to-dewy finish that wears well all day. My current match (also worn in the images at the end of this post) is 35 but I’ll be 30 in the dead of winter, I’m sure.

Tom Ford Moodlight Palette (reviewed HERE):

Expensive but unlike any other product on the market, this bronzer-meets-highlighter duo leaves skin looking luminous, ethereal and, dare I say it, airbrushed. Have fun figuring out the application that is right for you!

Tom Ford Reflects Gilt (reviewed HERE):

I have talked about this highlighter more times that I can count over the years as I use it almost daily. The rose gold blend that the two shades creates is so fresh and flattering and the luminosity itself is extremely finely milled (read: inconspicuous texture), making it ideal for skin of all ages and types.

Westman Atelier Lit Stick in Nectar (reviewed HERE):

For a cream highlighter that travels well, this dewy stick is a dream. The glossy peachy pink hue looks like well hydrated skin rather than overt shimmer…tap it onto the high points of the face, anytime you want to give your visage a veritable drink of water.

*Hourglass Ambient Universe Unlocked Palette (reviewed HERE):

Featuring some of the deepest and most robust shades of any Hourglass palette of this iteration, I love how a full face can be achieved in a matter of minutes. The bronzer and blushes work well (even on tan and deep skin) and the highlighter and refining powder perfect the canvas with every stroke…get one for you, buy one as a gift to give; I guarantee you’ll use it.

// EYES + BROWS //

*Natasha Denona Retro Palette (reviewed HERE):

This rosy neutral palette is so exceptionally easy to use. The shadows are rich and velvety so I rarely even use a brush with application, just my finger tips and the hues wear all day without creasing or fallout (**worn in the images at the end of this post). I also recommend the ND Glam Palette, which, along with Retro, ranks in my top two for the brand.

Lawless One and Done Mascara (reviewed HERE):

Even though I test a myriad of mascaras for Beauty Professor, most days, I wear this one and each and every time that I do, someone asks which mascara I am using. This clean formula builds magnificent length and volume while resisting smudging (MAJOR!) and flaking. I have purchased it as gifts and am heading into needing a third tube for myself. Let that usage be all the testament necessary!

*Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Sticks in Intense Moonlight, Rosegold and Orchid:

Portable, precise and oh so fingertip friendly, this cream shadow formula is a classic and these incandescent shades are particularly pretty. Also a plus, once blended, these shadows do not move.

Anastasia Brow Freeze (reviewed HERE):

Believe the hype on this crystal clear brow wax! Just a few strokes with the Applicator and my brows have a laminated look that remains affixed all day. Even though I have an array of brow mascaras at my disposal, I only have one clear setting gel and this is my daily formula of choice.

GrandeBROW (reviewed HERE):

To keep my brows healthy, full and thriving, this serum, used nightly is a necessity. I have used it consistently for years and, without reservation, recommend the fortifying effects it yields. Oh, and its completely clear and flake-free (often an issue with brow serums) after it dries down, which means you could use it in the day, too, if you want.

Tom Ford Golden Peach (reviewed HERE):

The amount of times I’ve shared Golden Peach on BP is innumerable; this is and will continue to be my go-to, single wash of color eyeshadow for the foreseeable future. The luminous pinky peach cream hue instantly brightens one’s complexion and the ultra fine gold powder topper sets everything in place until removed. I will love it forever.

Kosas 10 Second Eyeshadow in Globe (reviewed HERE):

When I am looking for a rapid wash of bronzy taupe color, I reach for Globe. This clean and fluid formula blends out with one’s fingertips and stays in place for hours. Every BP reader and follower that I’ve suggested it to has come back to tell me they love it; I don’t see all colors in this formula available on the Sephora site right now but this one is still there…get it while you can.

Tom Ford Pink Charade (reviewed HERE):

This cool mauve pink is simply lovely; creamy and color saturated, it’s deep enough to be ideal for all complexions. **Worn in the images at the end of this post.

*Tom Ford Sunlit Nude Lip Balm (reviewed HERE):

A tender baby pink with just enough beige, this balm has a gorgeous 1960s color payoff and a buttery, truly hydrating texture.

Lawless Baby Lipstick (reviewed HERE):

I am on my second tube of this opaque light pink cream. It looks killer over darker liner (see below) and has 100% clean ingredients.

Lancome Le Lip Liner in Ideal (reviewed HERE):

This is one of my favorite lip liner formulations; it is long lasting and has marvelous pigmentation and the color range, when available, is divine. I also recommend Natural Mauve and Mars as equally beautiful neutral shades.

Huda Beauty Lip Contour Muted Pink and Sandy Beige (reviewed HERE):

I have run through multiple pencils in this range over the last year and wholly recommend this retractable formula for its creamy color payoff, non-feathering texture and long lasting wear time. It’s often sold out so get the shades you can when you can.

Lawless Forget the Filler (reviewed HERE):

This is the best clean lip plumper I’ve tried to date; it really hydrates and increases the volume of lips without discomfort. It also comes in an array of shades so it pairs beautifully with lip pencil for a full lip mix. I also wear the clear version as nighttime lip treatment most nights and wake up with the fullest lips I could hope for (without any surgical/cosmetic filler intervention!). If you’re looking to try a few shades, the new Mini Trio is an absolute must!

Also, I placed an order this morning and here is my exact list…will update my thoughts on everything here once it arrives and I have a chance to try it all!

What I bought this morning!

// TODAY’S ORDER //

Yves Saint Laurent Nu Bare Look Tint Foundation in 12:

Rave reviews and a great color selection convinced me…plus, it’s foundation so I’m already compelled. Can’t wait to test this!

Armani Lip Power in 103 Androgino:

I have deeper shades in this formula and love them (reviewed HERE) so, after seeing this color in action on IG, I was excited to give this peachy pink beige a spin.

Huda Beauty Lip Contour in Honey Beige:

Many of these shades are already sold out but this one is still in stock and I’m adding it to the family!

Dr. Lara Devgan Scientific Beauty Platinum Lip Plump:

I have been contemplating this plumper for awhile and am finally taking the plunge. The reviews (on other sites) are strong and I love the addition of Niacinamide as it definitely gives an immediate flush. I also picked one up for my mom.

OUAI Detox Shampoo:

This was a reorder…nothing cleans and resets my hair like this formula and it’s often sold out so I am getting while I can.

Tom Ford Reflects Gilt:

Clearly, a re-buy in light of earlier content in this post…I never want to be without it.

Tom Ford Golden Peach:

Same with this gem…truly, if I could only have one eyeshadow for life, it would be this. Hence, I am stocking up with a significant discount.

GrandeBROW:

I purchased a backup for me and a fresh one for my mom…we both love it and find it works the best of any brow serum we’ve tried.

Style notes.

// STYLE NOTES //

  • Anine Bing Bodysuit: Timeless and classic with a deep scoop in the back, this bodysuit is thick enough to hold everything in while still being extremely flexible. So chic.
  • Cutoff Shorts: I wear denim shorts year round (will add tights when it gets cooler!) and these rank among the best in form, function and fit.
  • Nike Blazer High Tops: Every time I wear these, I get questions about them. I bought this cream and orange combination last year but am glad that other colors have been rolled out since then. For reference, I am generally a 7-7 1/2 and a men’s 6 fits perfectly.
